I didn't believe a thing he said on the subject. He just wanted votes. Clear and simply, he used the gays and lesbians. It is painfully clear he really DID NOT intend to do a thing about ENDA, DADT, and DOMA. Another case of where's the CHANGE?

YES WE CAN deny rights to certain citizens of this country. SHAMEFUL.-

Common sense would dictate that the U.S. Military denies enlistment to the disable simply because they are physically unable to do the job. That has nothing to do with being denied a civil right.

That's OK, though, because it as simple as civil rights. For years holier than thou snobs used the voting booths to deny mixed race couples the right to marry just like they are doing now for homosexual couples. The Supreme Court finally stood up for them and they will eventually stand up for us as well.
This ban will fall- it's just a matter of time. Religious oppression is just what our forefathers came here to escape and now it is being heaped on homosexual people everywhere.
Speaking of our founding fathers, it's interesting how those original colonies where they first settled are the first states to ban discrimination against homosexuals.-

You'll have to answer your own question, as I am in no position to know if "...homosexuals are disabled" or not.
Why do you ask that question, Ivrofwolves? Do you believe they are in some way?

There is no discrimination towards homosexuals regarding marriage. Any willing homosexual man may marry any willing woman. Any willing homosexual woman may marry any willing man. It is the same right for all citizens, heterosexual or homosexual.
Does this make you feel better, dandt1612? I'm so glad I could help.
Have a NICE weekend!-

Pecossam, that is not right...heterosexuals can marry anybody of the opposite sex that they LOVE and are ATTRACTED to, why else marry?
Reply
homosexuals cannot marry anybody they LOVE and are ATTRACTED to in the same sense that a heterosexual can, because they do not love and are not attracted to the opposite sex, that's why they are homosexuals.
and of course I do not think homosexuals are disabled, I was responding to your 'Yes, the U.S. Military denies enlistment to most of the disabled. And by doing so they are being REALISTIC.'
How is it they are being realistic??-

You state: "Pecossam, that is not right...heterosexuals can marry anybody of the opposite sex that they LOVE and are ATTRACTED to, why else marry?"
No, I'm sorry but you are wrong. Heterosexuals CANNOT marry anybody of the opposite sex that they LOVE and are ATTRACTED to. The OBJECT of their LOVE must agree to marriage. If a suitor keeps pestering an unwilling person, they may be charged with "harassment" or "stalking". When one's proposal of marriage is "rejected", I would say the suitor has been DISCRIMINATED AGAINST. But it is LEGAL discrimination.
You further state: "homosexuals cannot marry anybody they LOVE and are ATTRACTED to in the same sense that a heterosexual can, because they do not love and are not attracted to the opposite sex, that's why they are homosexuals."
Well, perhaps they need to TRY HARDER. After all, "Practice makes perfect." And it is so much FUN to practice at! LOL!
As to your last sentence: "and of course I do not think homosexuals are disabled, I was responding to your 'Yes, the U.S. Military denies enlistment to most of the disabled. And by doing so they are being REALISTIC.'
"How is it they are being realistic??"
Considering the "tight spots" the Military finds itself in at times, the statement speaks for itself. Would you please expand on your question and state why you don't believe "they are being REALISTIC."?-

pecossam, come on now, seriously you didn't know what that meant when I said they can't marry anyone they are attracted to and love???
Reply
I said in the same sense, meaning age of consent, not blood relative, and both parties agree..........come on now why would I have to write this all out?
What if homosexuality was the norm, and YOU just aren't attracted to homosexuals in any way shape or form, how would you feel if someone told you, well try harder!!! think you could do that?
as a heterosexual woman, I can tell you no matter how hard I tried, I wouldn't be attracted to another woman, I don't care who she was or how beautiful, it's not going to happen.
homosexuality is not a disability, period. Many gays have been and are in the military, fight in wars, gave their life for our country. Saying or thinking it's a disability is unrealistic.
