Though I'm ok with helping the world out, since CA is falling apart at the seams, our economy is hurting, we are in two wars and we are about to be saddled with a large new program called Universal Health Care, is it wise for us to keep sending money abroad?

Zimbabwe is a desperate case Slate and nobody is helping there in any substantial manner. I listened to a long segment on BBC Radio last night - from a reporter who was in the country illegally - the BBC has been banned there for a long time.
There was a long section on schools - many of which are cloosed or completely destroyed and even more horrific a section on young girls being forced to sell their bodies to survive. I mean that literally - many of the children on the programme were on the verge of starving to death.
      A real horror show.
