I will believe that this is a real "probe" when I read about it.

    Well that's reassuring!
That's like Putin ordering an investigation into the poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko!

Some journalists have been beaten in the street or even been taken into custody and beaten
This is an interview via cell phone with a reporter still in Iran:

Iranian Regime Thugs Are Beating Foreign Reporters In the Streets

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkc99qOZHBw=player_...

The interview is explosive - reporters taken into custody and beaten
Foreign journalists told to leave Iran
I guess they don't want any observers when the real crackdown begins

Believing there will be a "real probe" into the election by officials in Iran is tantamount to believing in the "transparency"
    of the Obama government.

They *should* do as thorough a probe as Ken Starr did and sniff out every dna stain like a tenacious bloodhound--but what they're likely to get is the type of probe that was needed (but didn't occur) following Nov 2000, 9/11, Cheney's energy company meetings, e-mail gate, 9 billion dollars disappearance in Iraq, Katrina, Jeff Gannon...

I saw this headline and the cynic in me decided you guys should see it. Does anybody really think that Khamenei is going to conduct an objective investigation into vote fraud? I'm not buying it, and neither are the citizens of Iran apparently.

There were around 400 people who petitioned to "run" for the presidency in Iran. That was whittled down to 4 by the Guardian Council who are all what most would consider hard line proponents of Sharia Law and most of whom are also ardent followers of the teachings of the Mahdi. Does anyone really think they would permit anyone to run that might threaten their rule?

There might have been some rigging by the supporters of Ahmad Nijard but the president's opponent won only the 33% of the votes shows that his chance of winning the election is far fetched because it is impossible to reach 62% of the votes that the incumbent won. Democracy is the most corrupt system in the world and no country in the world is free of election rigging. What we have to look for is the electoral trend.

There's something wrong with the title "Supreme Leader." It's a little over the top.
