Obama Open to Reining in Medical Suits »
Posted By engineer 6 months, 2 weeks ago in NewsThe American Medical Association has long battled Democrats who oppose protecting doctors from malpractice lawsuits. But during a private meeting at the White House last month, association officials said, they found one Democrat willing to entertain the idea: President Obama.
In closed-door talks, Mr. Obama has been making the case that reducing malpractice lawsuits — a goal of many doctors and Republicans — can help drive down health care costs, and should be considered as part of any health care overhaul, according to lawmakers of both parties, as well as A.M.A. officials.

As to the story. No one seems to be reporting the hissing and booing by the doctors towards the President. Gee, I guess before you push National Health, perhaps you should have asked the folks most hurt by the socialist changes you're making.-

Dam, Simon is right for once. Obama said he would not cap malpractice awards but suggested that their should be an alternative to the lawsuits that would be less costly and not result in thirty per-cent or more of the awards going to the lawyers instead of the harmed patient. he didn't say that specifically today but has mentioned the idea before.

Remember...Oboma is still allowing the NSA to spy on our thoughts, as if opur ears were a communications signal not controled by the FCC...and the truth is...many here in San Diego know better... and can prove this incident...mathmatically or using any means man needs to believe this is happening...even to the ones experiencing the induced psychosis of hearing voices. -

"The boos erupted when Obama told the doctors in Chicago he wouldn't try to help them win their top legislative priority — limits on jury damages in medical malpractice cases.
But what could they expect?
If Obama announced support for malpractice limits, that would set trial lawyers and unions — major supporters of Democratic candidates — on the attack. Not to mention consumer groups. -
