This article was posted by an Obama supporting liberal--who also supports free speech, whether it emanates from the left or the right.

Are you saying it would be a mistake to vote for conservatives just because one objects to right wing extremist rhetoric?-

I just put the shoe on the other foot, beavith.

Since edducat1 says it's a mistake to support Obama because of antibrainwasher's left-wing extremist comment, I assume s/he also believes it would be a mistake to vote for a conservative whose supporters spout right-wing extremist rhetoric. -

i think the guy is a bit too negative. he sounds like the democrats have some kind of monster core belief structure that precludes a resurgent GOP.

truth be told, the democrats in 2006 midterms ran on the "we're not Bush" platform and won. they continued that in 2008. from 2006 to 2008, they did nothing but run investigations and have commissions. i think it was because they won with no plan. they still haven't ginned one up yet. when Wall Street hit the fan, they went back into their history books, spotted Keynesianism as the 'means' that got us out of the Depression, and went nuts.
forget the unitary executive. we have, or had, a unitary legislative branch.
Bush, lame duck that he was, kindly got out of the way. Obama is just a continuing manifestation of that.
I cetainly wish Obama well. his tone is different, but nothing else, remarkably is. oh, sure. he's definitely a lefty leaning right, but its in tone, not substance.
anyhoo. i'm nowhere near as negative. it'll take time, but when the crowd realizes the emperor is wearing few clothes, the folks that pay attention will drift back.-

They already realized the emperor is wearing few clothes...and drifted back...back and a little to the left.

Which is why we have a President , a real one finally, who has a middle name of "Hussein"
Wouldn't have been possible unless the Emperor, not only had but a few clothes on, but most times was running around, D.C. to Crawford to Kennebunkport (a native American word meaning "Land of Many Trust Fund"), buck-a$$ed naked.

Boy it sure is getting cold in here. I wonder if they'll find the carcass of the GOP frozen in some ice in 10,000 or so years.

The republican party started dyung after Reagan. All one has to do is look at the unmitigated disaster the party has been since that. The party is in hospice now due to McCain picking probably the most unintelligent person on the planet to run with him. Then to add to the misery they parade out that Jindal guy to further the demise.
Ahhh, the sweet stench of death is upon us. Rejoice, we will be free of the fascist traitors that are republicans soon. -

Sorry to disappoint some people out there, but the GOP's not going anywhere. I know it makes some of you feel better to wallow in glee at the thought, but it's just not reality. We know you guys are here, you're queer, or whatever it is that you guys are but the GOP will remain and continue taking care of those who take care of themselves as opposed to offering up handouts to those who CHOOSE to be poor and lazy. But I can offer a solution to those same people and it's a simple concept....get a job and pay your own bills for a change. It's good for the soul. And yes "Antibrain", I did lick the bleeding cyst of my supreme leader today and it sure tasted yummy, thanks for asking.
