You could make the case that the US civil rights movement

began in WWII when white and black soldiers fought together.
(Even if usualy in separate units).
A kid raised on racial hate, - is going to have a
BIG learning experience in the current US army.
I bet it will do more to open their minds,
than a 1000 hours of sensitivity training classes. -

I have yet to see any articles about gang bangers trying to involve themselves in destroying our government. Gang bangers commit crimes normally against other gangs.

Being in the military for them is a business opportunity to sell drugs to all the users, not recruitment and training for a future race war.
Gangbangers and Neo-nazis are not comparable except within prison walls because of conflict based on race or the sale of drugs.

Neo-Nazism is a belief system, not just an organization for profit or street survival. They organize and establish business to construct training camps right in our land. How many Crip or Blood training facilities are their?
If a gangbanger is arrested in the military, he will most likely be charged with distribution or something and not for trying to throw the government.
Neo-nazis "infiltrate" because they intend to use their training and information against the US. Gangbangers simply slip in. They most likely don't intent be be bangers in their 40's and 50's.-

I agree on every count, there's a substantive difference. Gangbangers are basically in it for money, something probably equatable to the pirates in Somolia.

Neo-Nazis and skinheads are in it to destroy multiculturalism and anybody they disagree with.
Neither group exhibit "good" values or are positive role models but I gotta tell ya the Gangbangers beat the Neo-Nazis by leaps and bounds

The military was integrated by the great Harry Truman,that and the Korean war cost him a second term,the democrats were furious.The very idea of mixing the races was outrageous.Dwight Eisenhower took it a step further and pushed through a civil rights movement.Those were some anxious days.The entire democratic party was kicking,screaming,and filibustering to stop it,but the republicans finally over come the rioting and got it passed
