Posted By scott4261 6 months ago in Political NewsAs the whole world knows, my friend, Dr. George R. Tiller, was murdered on Sunday morning, May 31, 2009, while he was doing his regular Sunday activity, ushering in his Lutheran church in Wichita, Kan.
Like Tiller, I too am an abortion provider. Since I stopped doing later abortions, between 18 and 24 weeks, I have sent most of my patients seeking late second trimester abortion to Dr. Tiller's office. Some were women who faced a major threat to their life or health if they were to continue with what had been a wanted pregnancy. Or their wanted baby was diagnosed with a major anomaly incompatible with survival for more than a few days or years and only then, a life of suffering and incredible pain.

This is an article from Dr. William Harrison, an OB/GYN in my hometown of Fayetteville who is one of only two abortion providers in the state of Arkansas. I have witnessed many protesters in front of his office over the years. This article provides insight on Dr. George Tiller's practice and his death from a colleague and friend...

The terrorist Mullah O'Reily sat in his throne on the terrorist news channel faux and called his fatwah for years, knowing full well there were repuglican terrorist cells planning to murder Tiller.
Reply
The terrorist Mullah O'Reily is just a tool for Murdock, who profits every time an american is murdered. The lockstepping repuglican thugs watching faux noise all day are just christian teliban, ignorant inbred thugs, and are thankfully exposed right now as racist morons voting for the rich out of totalitarian daddy identity politics faux noise sells them. -

i'd like to whip that editorial out everytime some "pro-life" (as if we aren't all pro-life!)tyrant starts spouting their self-righteous religious objections to necessary medical procedures. i'll never understand why they think the fetus' life is more important than the woman's.

The woman sinned by having sex. The fetus has not had the opportunity. That's why Fetus Almighty is worshipped. Because Fetus has not traversed the birth canal, it is unstained by sin. Christlike. That is why the Unborn are sacred, the born not so much.-

Muslim? No. F ing? Not right now, anyway. Honor kill? Why would you think that? I was articulating the views of the fetus cultists, Captain, not my own.
Reply
But yes, fetus cultists would still view the woman as sullied even though the sex was non-consensual. They are nuts.
They are also not Muslim.

Albmore, are you being disingenuous or just ignorant?

Here you go, " Or their wanted baby was diagnosed with a major anomaly incompatible with survival for more than a few days or years and only then, a life of suffering and incredible pain".
Not everyone is equiped, either financially or emotionally to take care of children with major disorders, some even feel that to know a child will be born with such issues, it's just plain wrong not to end the pregnancy right there.
You might feel differently, if so, that's YOUR choice. -

Here's another side of the story.
"There also exists a common misconception that late-term abortions are limited to medical emergencies. Nothing could be further from the truth. From 1998 until 2000, only one out of the 1168 abortions that Tiller performed after viability was done during a medical emergency. Upwards of 97% of his late-term patients weren't even from Kansas—they flew in from other states to have abortions that they had scheduled in advance.
The procedure that Tiller tends to prefer is called digoxin induction—a drawn-out, two to three day process in which the attending abortionist poisons the unborn baby with chemicals and then removes it by inducing labor. Clearly, this is not the kind of treatment that a competent obstetrician would administer during a medical emergency. If a woman in the final months of a wanted pregnancy found herself in a medical emergency that required a c-section or a labor induction, the last thing that she would want would be for her doctors to intentionally kill the baby with a fatal poison. What would be the point?
It is inconceivable that the poisoning of a viable unborn baby before an induction could be necessary to avert physical health damage to a pregnant woman. The death of a baby doesn't cure any physical illnesses. What, then, are the "health" problems that are leading to these abortions? Again, the answer lies in the nebulous concept of mental health—a loophole that has been tailor made to legalize elective abortion throughout the nine months of a pregnancy. The argument put forth by the abortion industry is that unwanted babies, if they are allowed to live, pose a threat to the psychological well-being of the mothers who will have to raise them. Consequently, they must die. "

Attacks on abortion clinics can be directly attributable to the Great Communicator: "Reagan became the first American president to address abortion in his State of the Union speech in 1984. Only a few days earlier he'd told a large group gathered in Washington to rally against safe abortion that he would consider a presidential pardon for people convicted of attacking clinics and providers." What a guy.

The recruiter shooting incident isn't ignored. It has been reported, the last story I saw was when the second young man was released from the hospital, there was a press conference with him and his mother. No doubt there will be further stories when the case comes to trial.
Reply
The difference between the two terror attacks, is the one on the recruiters was an isolated incident. We did not step up protection at recruiting sites after the attack, because it was known to come from one nut and not part of a larger attack.
Dr. Tiller's assassination, on the other hand, WAS part of a larger attack, one that has been going on for decades. Security was stepped up at clinics around the country after his assassination is evidence this wasn't an isolated incident.
Further, not to be crass, but the recruiter killed was not one of only 3 recruiters in the entire country. The recruiter killed had never been the focus of an O'Reily show, or a protest, or had been previously shot.-

Lone nut? The Muhammadan was a "lone nut" NOT Islam driven? How about the Bosnian Muslim who went into a Utah mall and killing 5? "Lone nut" again? How about the Muhammadan who shot the Jewish women in Washington State? I forgot how many he killed, but, one was pregnanat. "Lone nut"? Yet, a guy who is believe NOT to be a "lone nut" is labeled a Christian AND, the media doesn't drop it, only the times where a Muhamadan father kills his daughters in the name of Allah to "protect family honor"... and, of course, the shooters. How soon we forget about the Muhammadan shooter in 2002. Was HE and his male companion "lone nuts"? They killed a LOT of people, and, even though they were African American, they shot an African American. But, it's NOT "lone nut" if the killing is believed to be done by a Christian. How come?

This issue is controversial, and in my opinion a woman's body is her own and any mandate as to abortion violates her civil rights,in regard to the practice of late term abortions it has to be investigated on a case by case bases, where all those late term procedures necessary or was this doctor just greedy,i saw the Oreilly segment and he was very fair on his opinion.I have not seen or read an actual report or data to the contrary, and i don't condone the murder, My condolences to DR tillers family rip doc !

99.9% of late term abortions are performed because carrying the fetus to term would result in the death of the mother and/or baby. Most of the time the fetus is already dead.
The fact is, no sane woman decides to have a late term abortion on a whim--and that decision is between her and her physician--the government has no business in her womb.
Also, Dr. Tiller did not promote his services--they were sought by women whose doctors referred them to him as a specialist in a procedure that still presented a life-threatening risk to the women who underwent it. -

I believe our nation must be more vigilant against the nascent Taliban movement within the ranks of Modern Christian Conservatives.

It will be difficult ... considering that some Mainstream Media supports them ... while others of Mainstream Media have abdicated their responsibility due to fear from Right Wing intimidation.

WHAT A MAROOOOON!!! "Under God" is ONLY in the pledge, and was only added much later in its history to "trip up the pinko commies"
The Creator was NEVER attributed to the forming of the country you un-American Christian Taliban.
And your "Thou Shalt Not Kill" hilarity... Your low-brained ilk are ALWAYS calling for the "righteous" murder of anyone of a different color, doesn't believe EXACTLY the way you do, doesn't face the right direction when praying, their church isn't the same shape as yours, etc., etc., etc... Sure, it's not multiple choice, just whoever YOUR Mullahs call to be killed.
