Shawn Johnson Victim of Viscious Satire Via The Onion »

However, a recent “attempt” at humor by the infamous Onion news source pushes past funny and into morbid and morose – even sick. US Gymnast Shawn Johnson (frankly, one of the most accomplished and superb ever) broke her knee while training the other day. While this is obviously a life changing and traumatic experience, particularly for a world class athlete, where sympathy and comfort would appear to be the decent response, the publishers at the Onion obviously think otherwise.
