Sotomayor said she resigned from the Belizean Grove to prevent the issue from becoming a distraction in her confirmation hearings.

If they only let Women, Men, Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, or Asians into some club I'd call that discrimination of sorts.

Once the door was opened to not allow these sorts of things in the name of 'discrimination', it only makes sense that eventually, it would come back to haunt you, once you decided the idea of 'exclusion' of others would be a neat idea pertaining to you just wanting to hang out with a like minded group of women/men/etc.
Heck why do you think they have Girls/Guys night out? To just be able to hang with those you relate to the most and get a break from the others. It doesn't mean you don't like the other folks, you just want a break from them.-

There is a difference between a casual night out and an organization that systematically excludes certain types of people. I'm not sure from your comment where you stand on this kind of discrimination. Do you think we should just accept "No Jews allowed" or "No blacks allowed" or "No men allowed"?

How does an all-women's club not discriminate on the basis of sex? If she is willing to join an organization that discriminates, she may be biased. How would you feel about her if she had joined an club that excluded Jews, Muslims, or blacks?
