An Obama "scandal" as phony as Whitewater »
Posted By GregD 6 months ago in Political NewsTo Barack Obama's most excitable adversaries, the firing of the Americorps inspector general that the president ordered last week is an incipient scandal, as loud and thrilling as Whitewater once was. Their fond memories of that ancient controversy (and its many sequels) were revived by the sudden dismissal of Gerald Walpin, a Bush administration appointee who has depicted himself as the victim of a political conspiracy. Insinuations and smears abound already -- including an attempt by the usual suspects to drag the first lady into the mud, Hillary-style, on the basis of anonymous allegations.

I believe the born-again conservatives will stoop to anything to make people have faith in them again. The trouble with this philosophy is that with the Internet, they are found out in double time.

Sure Kevin Johnson supported Obama for President. He used Obama's organization to ride his coat tails in the election to become the Mayor of Sacramento. The organization, Sacramentans for Obama, of which I was a member, immediately changed into an organization called Sacramentans for Accountable Government after the election. This PAC is trying to seize total control of the city from the City Counsel. Johnson is anti labor, anti-environment, and will support any big developer with a checkbook to cover our precious California farm land (flood plain) with sprawl. He's said that he wants to model Sacramento after Phoenix. Have you been to Phoenix lately, he's insane. Obama and all other politicians would do good to distance themselves from KJ.

there there. in a few years the republicans will take back this country in a few years. Right after the democrats fix it that is. That way we can put the government on an even bigger credit card. Don't worry you can blame Obama for all the spending he is doing, even though he had to, to try to fix what the last president did to our economy. Am I happy about our new national debt?, No. Hopefully we will be able to recoup our debt from those we gave money to.

The headline of the story must mean many people will go to jail as part of this scandal. That is what happened in Whitewater. Several people jailed for various crimes including the governor of the state. Rose law firm papers supposedly not available just show up in the White House living area. Poor choice of a headline.
