Colonel Donald Gilbert Cook was the first U.S. Marine captured in Vietnam; the first and only Marine in history to earn the Medal of Honor while in captivity; and the first Marine POW to have a U.S. Navy ship named in his honor.

    Colonel Donald Gilbert Cook was a true hero and patriot. While his death is tragic, one must wonder what his outrage would be, had he been alive today, in seeing the poser who calls himself president in the White House today. Those men and women who fight and sacrifice for their country are being insulted everyday by Obama and the (General Call Me Senator, I earnd That Title) the joker politicians who claim to be honering their oath to uphold the constitution.
