Another reason to vote her out next time around. Let her see what it's like to be hungry. Really, what an obnoxious, self righteous republican.

"Hunger can be a positive motivator" So can the fear of being voted out of a job in the next election.
The fact that she even thinks this.... shows her callausness. Her saying it out loud for the whole world to hear shows her arrogance and stupidity. If she gets re-elected there's something wrong with those that vote her in again.

I don't watch shows like Keith Olberman ... or the numerous Right Wing counterparts.

However, I am surprised to see the fuss being made about this Republican's comments.

Everyone in America knows of the Moral Vacancy of the Modern Republican.

Haven't they previously fought against expanding access to Health Care for Children?

Haven't they previously fought against the Family Leave Act?

Haven't they previously fought against ANY solution for the Health Care crisis?

Haven't they previously fought against the Middle Class?

Haven't they previously fought against helping kids with the rising cost of College?

I thought it was already understood that the ONLY child the Modern Right shows any interest in is the UNBORN child ... and even that interest is grounded in political expediency.

NOW do y'all understand that the Modern Republican Philosophy is founded upon the Shifting Sands of Moral Vacancy?
        .

"Whether they are trying to impose voting laws that act as a defacto poll tax, or cutting programs to make room for tax cuts, this is standard operating procedure for some Republicans who are always trying to put selfishness ahead of the needs of the community." Amen.

so i guess that old expression 'get a job' is considered mean spirited too. she could have probably said it better.

maybe Olbermann can donate some of his unfair wealth to the starving kids of MO.

gopp... expanding health care for children? expanding what used to be a program for poor children is now socialized medical care for middle class children. i suppose thats just another step in socialized health care.

family leave act? i remember a time (wasn't that long ago) that people worked for a living, not worked for benefits. when my kids were born i had the day off, then i went back to work.

the republicans don't fight all 'solutions' to the 'health care crisis'. they just fight unaffordable ones.

no. they don't fight the middle class. the middle class is the ones that work. like the teabaggers say. don't spread the wealth. spread their work ethic.

college? the more grants allowed, the more college costs go up. there is zero feedback cost control mechanism on college -heck- education - expense. but that's OK for the democrats. their political buddies are the beneficiaries. at the expense of the whole country.

you confuse being an adult with moral vacancy.

            Nutz.

I wrote a long screed about children, and the future,
and rickets, and how anyone who grows up smaller and
stupider because they did not have enough to eat,
            - is justified in joining whatever revolution comes around.

No one is required to be patriotic to a nation that
regarded you as one... more... useless... hungry kid.

            Then I erased it.
            Just, - nutz.

FTA: Can’t they get a job during the summer by the time they are 16?

Great idea. Because we all know that kids don't need to eat in the winter, and just think how good that Big Mac is gonna taste after 16 years of starvation. Man, this is gonna be good for their work ethic.

On the other hand, if you don't want to wait until you're 16, you can always sell dope, or become a burglar or a prostitute, or a gang banger. The gang will feed you. This is going to be a such a great country and all we have to do is not feed our kids? The woman is a genius.

So Missouri has a Michelle Bachman too. I wonder, do they clone them.
