I believe in the education, I just believe it needs to be stepped up age-appropriately.
In 4th grade we were shown a video showing a diagram of the penis and the vagina and showing what happens during arousal.
I don't really remember if there was anything in 5th but I dropped off to homeschooling for a year and a half half way through 5th because we moved to a podunk district around Nubieber, California where my "brains" weren't as important as if the football team had another season. That counted off 6th too. We learned minimal sex ed stuff in 7th but our class didn't really get to the unit until just before the end of the year.
8th grade was mechanical sciences not life science.
9th grade was biology that's where we had the talk, condoms, ****** and everything. That's where it should be, that's HOW it should be. You're allowed to object to certain materials upon religious grounds (as you rightfully should) but thankfully, the right of the parent to decide if they want their kid to learn "opposing viewpoints" (I define that very narrowly) is being removed.

First, thanks for answering and attempting a discussion.
Second, I congratulate you for recognizing that humans DO NOT choose who, and what gender, they are attracted to. It is something one seems to be born with, much like alcoholism.
But there is a difference. Alcoholism is a disease or medical condition. Which means it is a condition that impairs normal bodily function, usually to the detriment of the person so afflicted. Sexual orientation does not, in and of itself, impair a persons bodily function. In fact, repressing your innate urges can oftentimes be the cause of mental anguish and a myriad of other problems.

And you're an idiot. Reread what he said 80% of all adult HIV infections happen as a result of heterosexual sex. 80% is written as 80/100 or .80. Simplified (as you are kind of...supposed to do with fractions and have been taught to do so from 4th grade onwards) 4/5ths. That means that only 20% or 1/5th of HIV infections occured from homosexual sex. We're taught in statistics and...basic logic really that the bigger amount is usually going to be the higher occuring element...hence it being the larger number...one follows the other you see.
Therefore it is not POSSIBLE for there to be more homosexual-transmitted cases of HIV when they only occur in 1 of every 5 cases. They would have to occur in 3/5ths of cases or more to be more per capita. Let me elaborate slightly:
per capita means "for each head" and can also be read in comparisons (4:2 3 to 1, etc, whichever of those two forms you want to use)
Peter contends that HIV+ Homosexuals outnumber HIV+ Heterosexuals. This is not possible. Based on the statistics above and the fractions I simplified them down into, 80% or 4/5ths of 100% mean that in a pool of 100 HIV+ people, 80 will be Heterosexual, 20 will be Homosexual. That means Heterosexual cases of HIV+ diagnoses outnumber Homosexual per capita 4 to 1 (4:1) 4 being 80% and 1 being 20% making the full 5/5 in the fraction.
