Governor Mark Sanford stood up in Congress and fought against marriage equality and abortion rights. He fought against gay and lesbian rights, and fought for the Ten Commandments. He is a great big hypocrite. He should be held to a higher standard; frankly, he should resign as Governor of South Carolina. After all, he did condemn Governor McGreevy of New Jersey for his actions. Beyond everything else he now stands accused as of this afternoon (see MSNBC.com) of using South Carolina tax payer dollars to fly to Argentina to have his affair! He would not accept stimulus money, but felt justified flying to Argentina to have an affair? The heat has yet to be cranked up on Governor Sanford!

Resignation by Sanford would be his wisest choice. Otherwise he faces further disgrace through impeachment. Personally, I think he should not be allowed to resign...should be indicted for abandonment of office, misuse of state funds and surely there is more!

The Republicans continue to self-destruct. A whole new cottage industry could spring up where odds are established and bets placed on just when each and every republican in office will hit the fan.
I love it. The hypocritical, unethical, lying, crooked ******** of the Republican party continue to self-destruct.
