Obamathon Lowest Rated Program on Major Broadcast Network »
Posted By btatman22 5 months ago in Political NewsABC’s one hour special “Prime-time: Questions for the President: Prescription for America” received the lowest ratings of any program on a major broadcast network. The special focused on President Obama’s socialized healthcare proposal. ABC created a brouhaha when they would not allow a paid rebuttal to Obama’s plans. In true partisan fashion, the network scoffed at anyone who might have a dissenting opinion of the President’s healthcare plan. It appears that they paid the price in the ratings. The program had 4.7 million viewers, which is a 1.1 preliminary for adults aged 18-49. It had the fewest viewers in the 10 p.m. slot, losing to such huge programs as “The Philanthropist” and a rerun of “CSI: NY” on CBS.

This is Emanual, Pelosi, Soros, and Reid's baby.

Yep...This alone is proof that Americans don't support or agree with Obama's plan. I mean it's not as if the GOP, neocons and the insurance lobby spent an obscene number of millions of dollars attacking Obama on this issues since he got elected.

Oh...and let's see, cable viewership was no different on Wednesday night--Hmmm...Wonder if maybe something was going on in IRAN that might have been more riveting? Or maybe Americans were distracted by:
--South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, whose mysterious disappearance last Thursday prompted national headlines, acknowledged Wednesday afternoon that he had an extramarital affair.
"I've been unfaithful to my wife, and I developed a relationship with what started as a dear, dear friend from Argentina," he said, breaking down in tears.
Sanford returned from a trip to Buenos Aires Wednesday morning. He told reporters he was "obviously not" alone there.
or:
--Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has scored the best opening day ever for a Wednesday release, with an estimated $60.6 million domestically. The previous record-holder was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which grossed $44.2 million on a Wednesday in July 2007. The $60.6 million includes a confirmed $16 million from midnight shows, the third largest overnight numbers of all time behind only The Dark Knight ($18.5 million) and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith ($16.9 million).
Analysis: Cons, you're complete idiots. Bush didn't keep you safe and these ratings don't prove whatever it is you're fantasizing they prove.
FYI:
UPDATE: ABC points out that "Questions for the President" continued after the local news during late night on "Nightline" (4.3 million) and helped boost the news program to pull more viewers than CBS' "Late Show" and NBC's "Tonight Show."

So now it's the fault of the GOP that few people listened to his lies concerning the national health program he's pushing. How is that possible? The GOP? We're the minority even at an all GOP convention.

Let's be honest, if you don't jam this up our butts now, you will never screw the public again for votes. This is a scam. We have about 5 million people without some form of health care. You'll truck out 40 million but most of those people are actually covered by medicare, medicaid or some other form of government programs. The other group you include is the 20 million here illegally. They deserve nothing other than a space on a bus out of the USA.
Of the 5 million uninsured, how many could but refused to buy their own insurance. Instead, they buy I-Phones, big screen TV's, big homes, fancy cars, etc. So many could find a small health policy but they buy something else. So the rest of us, the other 330 million have to bail them out. I can't wait for 2010. Then again, who really wants what's left when these idiots leave office. There won't be anything left.

Its no real surprise to me. Obama's image is starting to dull. People aren't impressed with his celebrity status anymore. He is overexposed, and now that he is actually talking issues, people aren't impressed.

Americans want to hear about jobs and saving money. They don't care about climate change. And health care is something everyone wants, but after all the government bailouts people are losing faith in the government doing what's right.
When peoples 401k's are disappearing, reduced hours, layoffs, pinching pennies to make it by, they want to hear about things that will turn things around not things that will make people feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Wont somebody please think of the trees and the children!
