Bernard Madoff would be stripped of all his possessions under a $171 billion forfeiture order handed down only days before prosecutors seek to put the disgraced financier away in prison for the rest of his life.

    another aspect of this case that gets almost zero press is that the DOJ is allowing the others involved to skate. madoff was a front for many, who still have their stolen money. there is little indication that madoff was pressured at all into revealing what he knows. all of the investigation and deal-making happened behind closed doors, to protect the guilty.

    I hope is that some of his victims get some of their money back. I also hope they hurry up and prosecute his wife, she's a snooty biatch who thinks she's better than everyone.
