I'm 48 years old and the sole support of my children (5, with 3 at home). I've usually worked in small businesses that couldn't afford health care. The few times it was offered at larger businesses, I couldn't afford it.
Two months ago, I was diagnosed with invasive cervical cancer. Now, they offer me Medicaid! How stupid is it that you have to have a mortal illness in order to get health care?!
