OMG, Newt led a lynch mob against Clinton, and republicans paid over 50 million tax dollars to Ken Starr to investigate Clinton's sex life, but Sanford has a personal problem! The hypocracy is so thick you can cut it with a knife and Liberals need to start taking air time to point it out. No more taking the high road. Giving them enough rope to hang themselves is just creating more ways to make excuses.
I for one am sick of the pervs in the republican party crying foul with they get caught with their pants down and tapping on pubilc bathroom walls, looking for gay sex, and texting underage teenagers for sex!
Enough is enough!-

This is "very damaging stuff," Sanford declared at one point, when details of Clinton's conduct became known. "I think it would be much better for the country and for him personally (to resign)... I come from the business side," he said. "If you had a chairman or president in the business world facing these allegations, he'd be gone."

Nothing personal; but your statement is part of the problem. This kind of behavior is not something that's done as a Dem or as a Repub. It's done as a person. I don't keep track on a scorecard, thankfully; but I'm willing to bet that both parties have their transgressors. Acting as responsible adults is something we're all supposed to be doing; and the ability to do it is not restricted to one party or the other.

No doubt a lot of them will say.. He asked God to forgive him, and now everyone has to forgive him.

My answer to that is, Clinton asked God and his family to forgive him too, but not ONE SINGLE con was willing to forgive! NOT A ONE! Good Christians eh?

Clinton got a drive by b/j! Sanford had a year long affair and fell in love with another woman, asking his wife to give him her blessings..Wanted her to sit home and act the dutiful wife while he slept with another woman. He'd still be doing this, had this last tryst not blown up in his face. His texts and emails are very obvious proof of that!

On the positive side, Gov Pawlenty(R) of Minnesota has come out and said Sanford was a disgrace and should resign because of his hypocrisy.

Psycho, Jenny Sanford has made it very clear that after she discivered the affair she made it very clear that it needed to cease immediately. He asked to be allowed to go down and end it in person and she said absolutely not. He went against her wishes and seemed to think he could pull it off with nobody knowing. What a fool.
Also Jenny is the money in the family and largely responsible for his successful political campaigns. She was a successful Wall St executive when they married. I expect to see divorce papers coming as soon as she has made sure that all of their assets are protected from pilfering. She is a strong intelligent woman. I expect that he will have to crawl all the way across South Carolina on his hands and knees begging forgiveness if he hopes to try and make the marriage work again. -

Typical Lib response. Your ad hominem remarks are
based on hate and rage, but you never dare apply
the moral of your own hatred to the dark
reflection of your evil faces in the
polished coffin lid of your real victim the
truth. You live and breath to hate but you never
think about whether you are the ones hating.
Typical lib hypocracy. hypocricy. hyppotomus. -

I watched Meet the Press....I heard no one defending him. They did speak about their concern for his family. I suggest you read the above article if you want the truth. -

"It is the fact that he abandoned the people of his state, and nobody knew where he was for days. Republicans are trying to downplay his neglect of his political duties, and are trying to create sympathy for Sanford."

I don't care who politicians screw as long as it isn't me. But I do care about the fact that what they say other people should do does not apply to them. And on top of his hypocrisy, Sanford's dereliction to his office and the people of his state is ample evidence he needs to resign. But Republicans do have a history of white washing AWOL of their politicians.-

I don't think he should resign because of the affair. Things happen in people's personal lives. Its none of out business.

I do think he should resign for going off to Argentina WITHOUT TELLING A SINGLE PERSON! Nobody knew where he was, or who was in charge in his absence. How can you do that? Its incredible! -
