Comments for Governor Mark Sanford please exit stage left »
Posted By Radiofreeeuropa 6 months ago in NewsMark "el sharko" Sanford refuses to step down despite public outcry in South Carolina. What a bozo!
The affair is not so much the problem, as the Governor's lack of intelligent discretion in handling the situation. Sanford disappeared for several days without notice and without a transfer of power to his Lt. Governor. He abandoned his public responsibilities and the state of South Carolina. Neither Sanford's wife nor staff knew of his whereabouts.
Governor Sanford also admitted, that he had used state money to fund his trips to see his mistress. Sanford has promised that he would return the money taken. This is somewhat like a person who has robbed a bank, and after being caught, returning the money, feeling he should walk free, because he returned the money.
Dance the tango....pay the piper Mark. Step down and top disgracing the State of South Carolina. Your bid for the presidency has a fork in it.
It's done.

How many remember this goon clamoring for Clinton's head for his marital indiscretion? Now he writes:
Reply
(Mark Sanford's emails to his Argentinian mistress:)
"Two, mutual feelings .... You have a particular grace and calm that I adore. You have a level of sophistication that so fitting with your beauty. I could digress and say that you have the ability to give magnificent gentle kisses, or that I love your tan lines or that I love the curve of your hips, the erotic beauty of you holding yourself (or two magnificent parts of yourself) in the faded glow of the night’s light..."
Geez, that's terrible...wouldn't even make it in a cheap airport romance novel with Fabio on the cover!
Now in a sense this is no one's business except the people directly involved, but since this dimwit don juan decided to abandon his post, and charge the tax payers for his many trips.
It becomes public business. -

This is "very damaging stuff," Sanford declared at one point, when details of Clinton's conduct became known. "I think it would be much better for the country and for him personally (to resign)... I come from the business side," he said. "If you had a chairman or president in the business world facing these allegations, he'd be gone."
