Republicans/conservatives = no vision, no viable solutions, no results...

I sometimes wonder how things would ever get done if we were all Republicans/conservatives...

    The status quo, personified...

And your solution is to build communes, we all dress the same way and carry Chairman Mao or now Chavez's little red book? We have GOP leaders who can see past the socialist solutions.

I think finding the perpetual motion machine or solving the cold fusion theory would be great but the technology for us to do this simply isn't there yet. Your "green" solutions will require more energy to create and run than it will replace. You're looking at decades for a solution with very little potential. Huge infrastructure costs and even high legal fees from the lawsuits. It's going to be like ethanol all over again. We have plants all over ready for bankruptcy. After a few years of use, we've learned that they actually cause more fuel to be used and is a very dirty burning product. GM, Ford and Chrysler told the folks in Washington that but they didn't listen then as they don't now. Wind and solar with today's technology will be tomorrows costly joke.
