It's been pretty hot here, the heat index gets into 110+, I have been here since the early 1970's and it is changing. Our rainy season and patterns, our storm intensities lightening, rain and hurricane...loss of tree canopies introduction of non native species has all caused dramatic changes.

      Eagle,

Let me just ask you one question, and I'm not trying to be a smart arse or anything like that but don't you think there are cyclical temperature cycles that occur naturally?
I mean really do you think that temps (globally or even in different geographical regions) should be really stable especially when you take into consideration that we live in an environment that a plus or minus of 5 percent would mean life or extinction?
      Just wondering.

      In God We Trust

Hey, Slate. How is it in Houston? In the Valley our temperature at 10 p.m. is 88F. Bit warm, huh?

I've been in Houston for 53 years now, and yes it's been hot each and every summer here and usually only drops to the high 80s at night. Thanks for the info that it's hot in Texas in the summer though.
