Comments for Limbaugh Claims the Senate Election in Minnesota was Stolen Like in Iran »
Posted By capj71 6 months ago in Political NewsRush Limbaugh reacted to the news the news that Al Franken has been certified the winner of the Minnesota Senate race by the state Supreme Court by comparing the Minnesota recount to the recount in the Iranian presidential election. He claims this election was stolen from Coleman. I believe that Limbaugh loves the GOP more than he loves America.

Still haven't even seen the edited content. Must have gotten carried away. Sometimes you gotta know when to retract before posting. It will be interesting to see if we can identify the new moniker if PHB resurfaces.

Everybody deserves a 2nd chance. At least that's the conservative view of the last week regarding Mark Sanford . They say Bill Clinton didn't deserve a 2nd chance (but he got one anyway). But Mark's a good 'ol boy! So what if he was leading a home prayer group with his wife and friends 4 times last month while simultaneously dreaming about Argentinian p--ntang.
Maybe PHB can just quote some Bible passages and request absolution from the authorities.-

I missed that reference. I honestly did not read the emails. Too personal. The affair is bad, leaving the top office in the state unattended for five days, far worse. He says he was in love but is now admitting to even more relationships. You know his wife just wants to kill him!

These kind of statements provide nothing to the discussion but are hardly a sole possesion of the Left. Never seen you flag a fellow rightie for calling Obama something like "Jugg Ears". Are we on the school playground or are these actual adults posting?
Reply
But can any of you actually support these idiotic statements Rush is making lately?
Seriously, he has gone off the deep end.
Suggesting yesterday that Obama will declare himself dictator in 2016 (what happened to '12 Rush?) and seize power without allowing elections. And suggesting that Obama caused Sanford's affair? These are not the rantings of a sane person.
If he is going to deal purely outside the truth he needs to continually post a disclaimer to remind his dittoheads that he is an entertainer not a newsman! That is just re-affirming Rush' own view.

Listen to the liberals ignore what happened. They have ranted for years that Gore really won the election even though he lost the count and all recounts including all but one count after the official counts were over. But they still talk about the stolen election.
Reply
In Minnesota Coleman won the election and the recount. Then the next recount it was obvious that dirty tricks were being done. Votes found in trunks of cars. More votes than were people voting in the Franken districts. Coleman absentee votes not allowed to be counted but the Franken votes were counted and the liberals just ignore all of this hanky panky. The facts speak for themselves. Voting fraud is only if a Republican wins according to liberals.-

More looser revisionism? Yes of course it is. Par for the course!
Franken won the original recount, and has continued to win recounts as Norm Coleman, likely at the request of the national GOP, has continued to drag this process out. Franken will be the 60th Democratic senator, so the GOP has tried to block seating him for as long as possible. -

Endo, do you believe everything you read in the Right Wing media or are you just copying from the tabloids? Those are just scurrilous allegations. Get real. There was 11 million dollars spent recounting the votes mainly because Coleman wouldn't quit. Just ridiculous. The courts rule we as Americans need to learn to accept those rulings.. I never bitched about Bush over Gore. It was simply a very close election. How can you say the will of the people has been subverted when we are talking about a couple of hundred votes?
Reply
I don't even particularly like Al Franken. He is the Far Left. But how long would you like to leave the seat open?

How exactly did Bush deny everyone but the Ultra wealthy representation??? I was being represented the whole time and since yall think that folks making 88k a year are poor and cannot afford healthcare I would be considered to be living in poverty.
Broke Vacation records??? Has Obama even been in the White House for 10 days since inaugurated?
Having said that. I know that even when the president is not in the oval office he is still working. Whether they are at camp david, crawford ranch or flying around campaigning and fearmongering about economic crisis such as the current president is doing.
And again, if Bush bankrupted the country why is it cool for Obama to outspend him ten fold???-

--Thanks for the tip but I didn't express an opinion about campaigning one way or the other. We've established that you feel that way. What you don't say is what candidates should do between elections? Stop campaigning (because campaigning always means you're taking time away from your constituents?)? Shouldn't it be up to the CITIZENS to decide if their needs are being met? Sarah Palin's citizens are VERY unhappy with her right now (and Minnesotans were unhappy without full representation also). If the people of IL, NY, DE, and AZ were unhappy their Congress members were campaigning too much, it's not as if they have no recourse to register their disapproval.
"How exactly did Bush deny everyone but the Ultra wealthy representation??? I was being represented the whole time and since yall think that folks making 88k a year are poor and cannot afford healthcare I would be considered to be living in poverty."
--tangy, the problem for cons is that *you* cannot make up *your* minds from one moment to the next whether 88 grand represents wealth or poverty. When you want to bitch that your taxes are too high, it's poverty. When you want to deny health insurance to children, it's a king's ransom. You need to take a look at your own inconsistencies and hypocrisy. And *of course* you would argue that Bush was your savior. You're a 20% percenter who would argue to your last dying gasp that Bush did nothing wrong and he was the most wonderful President in the world, tangy. And it's a matter of FACT that Bush broke vacation records. If you don't know this *without* having to do research, then you're technically braindead. Please name ALL the *vacations* Obama has taken since being elected.;-0

--Why did Bush need to go to TX every five minutes to get "work" done, tangy? And please don't even TRY to accuse Obama of fear mongering when that filthy troll Cheney won't STHU trying to scare Americans.
"And again, if Bush bankrupted the country why is it cool for Obama to outspend him ten fold???"
--And again, you're asking idiotic questions that you know damned well have already been answered millions of times. READ CAREFULLY: BUSH f*cked America up beyond all recognition. Obama is following the sound advice of economists who know that we have to spend dramatically in the short term to avert a full scale depression. If you don't grasp this then please explain which *reputable* economists are saying that we should stop spending money right now. I DARE you to do that, tangy. I am concerned how so many "lost" ballots were suddenly accepted. Even those with the wrong dates stamped on the top by their bonded time/date stamp. It's a sad day when the DNC is once again accused of voter fraud but there is no real investigation. No changes in voting standards. We protect our waste dumps more than we protect our voting booths. Only in America. When the elections are anything but fair or balanced. Just another day in Obama's Amerika.

--tangy, you don't even know what you're arguing or what qualifies as proof. You do not have "proof" that *voter fraud* occurs in to any significant degree (if at all).
"Even one where a woman out west registered het pet to vote just to prove the system is flawed."
--I remember that silly article and if you weren't so hard-headed you'd remember that I commented on it and smacked down your argument at the time. The woman registered her pet (a misdemeanor) and then submitted a ballot (a potential felony) with the word "void" on it. The only reason this elderly pinhead got fined only a thousand bucks or so (and didn't get a sentence that might have resulted in her dying in prison) is that the state had mercy on her for being an extremely brain-damaged individual with too freaking much time on her hands. The moral of this story is that even someone with a low IQ like that woman at least had the presence of mind to realize that casting a ballot could land her in PRISON. That's whats known in law enforcement as a *deterrent.* There are not millions and millions of Americans out there who are willing to go to prison for 5 years or more to try to sway an election. It's NOT happening, tangy. She wanted to prove a point and it ended up costing her money she probably couldn't afford to lose.
"It's a shamn dame you who to this day claim that the 2000 and 2004 elections were stolen have no wish to fix the system because your guy won this last time. Kinda makes you look like a big ol hypocrite."
--tangy, stop yankin my chain. We both know the ONLY "fixes" to the system cons are interested in are those you believe will suppress votes to *your* advantage. And the reason we both know this is because you people are OBSESSED with ACORN nearly to the exclusion of ANY other areas of potential voter registration or election fraud (particularly those areas where YOU might benefit from flaws in the system). So don't cry in front of me about hypocrisy because you people weren't interested in voter integrity until you started LOSING routinely. You would NEVER have allowed a case like Coleman's v Franken to drag on for 6 months if the shoe had been on the other foot. GET SERIOUS. ;-0

BOTH sides have been accused of voter fraud at one time or another. But, in point of fact, voter fraud is extremely hard to get away with and thus, exceedingly rare.
What is far easier is efforts to disenfranchise or otherwise voters from turning out in the first place through practices like caging lists and disinformation campaigns. Here the Republicans rule the roost.

It's the perfect crime, really. No chance of accusations of actual ballot-box stuffing and hey, just because these minorities voted Democrat last election is no guarantee they would have voted that way again. -

Rush is absolutely right. The Democrats created enough voted after the election to steal it, and I expect much more of this behavior now that it's been encouraged. Don't think for a moment that Obama and the Democrats are not watching places like Honduras, Venezuela, and Iran. They're wondering how they, like the leaders of those countries, can stay in power without all this ridiculous election foolishness.

When was this? The last time the main stream media proclaimed a major political party dead? Just like they did with the GOP this year? Give me a break. If you're going to believe every headline designed to sell papers or ad copy, you're going to have a bad few years if the economy continues to fail. Which it is doing right now. We're in a free fall. You're seeing 20% unemployment for minorities in Chicago. You're seeing states like Wisconsin with debts far exceeding the wealth of their entire tax base. It's only a matter of a short time when your members will understand not everyone can live on the government's dime. Someone has to pay those bills.

There are movements in the DNC to rescind the Twenty-second Amendment because of the messiah. Sounds like Obama has been talking with his new friends, Castro and Chavez. I'd like to the the 22nd Amendment changed to include US Senators and Representatives. I'd also like to see them pay for their own benefits and reduce them to part time status. That's about all the last 2 congresses have been good for anyway. Part-time, no pensions or health benefits, it's a good start at reducing government overhead.

Obama wants to destroy all the coal fired power plants so it will make it easier to turn this country into a Communist, Muslim NAZI state. I heard that they are going to gut these coal plants and turn them into internment camps for those that don't go along with Obama's agenda. Here's the difference between Rush and Franken. Rush will just sit in front of his microphone and spew about how everyone in government is just doing everything wrong. Franken has actually gotten off his butt and ran for office and got elected. He's putting his money where his mouth is and becoming part of the process. We will see how well he does, and even if he fails, at least he has done something other than spew.
