Posted By pc25 5 months ago in NewsThe day before the House was to vote on a controversial energy bill destined to be the largest tax hike in American history, it was revealed that the Environmental Protection Agency had suppressed an internal report challenging the entire global warming myth.
Despite the importance of this study, and how it related to a debate about to ensue on the House floor, its existence and suppression went almost completely ignored by America's media.
This, of course, comes in stark contrast to regular and frequent news reports in previous years accusing the Bush White House of intentionally censoring the science of climate change.

This is as much a non-story as it was yesterday. The authors of the report were acting outside their official capacities within the EPA. Carlin is an economist and Davidson has scant climatology credentials. The report was unsolicited, yet still reviewed by EPA supervisors. Carlin was allowed to present his opinions at panel discussions and conferences and allowed to invite those who concurred to said conferences.

The paper is rife with problems. First, there are no direct cites of peer-reviewed data and most of the data is cherry-picked, misinterpreted, or out of context. The 'study' is largely an amalgam of global warming denier 'arguments' that have been circulating around the web for the past few years. Second, the report can't even seem to decide its own opinion. Early in the paper, Carlin says the globe is actually cooling. Later he states the warming is a result of natural solar and ocean cycles.
Did the media ignore this report? Sure they did, and why not? Two EPA staffers working outside their area of expertise have no reason to expect otherwise.

--Here's the big problem for cons...When Bush was caught in the act of using the government to stack outcomes in your favor, you didn't raise a peep. I'm curious to know how many of PC25 and his ilk screamed outrage about the suppression of Bush era EPA and DOE studies that clearly stated drilling all the possible oil wells in ANWR, offshore and onshore would have the effect of decreasing the price of oil about 4-7 cents per barrel.

when the IPCC document came out with 2500 scientists' singatures all agreeing that global warming was real I didn't see stories about it all over the place. there was nary a word about it, in fact.
so to claim the media is ignoring this due to bias is just hogwash.
in the media, if it bleeds, it leads.

this is Obamas EPA supressing a report saying that the effects of co2 on the environment are are greatly over estimated just when the largest tax bill on energy for the sole purpose of reducing co2 emissions comes down the pike and you don't get it...... -

There weren't 2,500 scientists. The number included various types of people. Of the scientists' names that were included, some disagreed with the findings but their names stayed on the list.

Here's a little tidbit about perpetration for you.
Let's get real here.
There will always be suppression of information, propaganda and sad to say media bias to benefit one's arguments from one side or the other (whomever happens to be in power at a relevant time) but this man proclaimed false pretense in order to achieve the votes needed to secure the election to this office.
Plain and simple.
It's like when the senior Bush made the statement "read my lips, no new taxes". Later in his term the decision was made that this promise could not be kept and the people made their decision that the "public trust" had been violated if not manipulated and by the power of their vote (whether the need for the taxation was justified or not) to end his term at its expiration. Although this statement was made during the election the actual decision was made several years into his administration and after an unexpected severe downturn in the economy.
Our current President (President Obama) made if not equal to but as I see it, a more outrageous statement that anyone who was making less than 250,000 dollars a year would be "off limits" to his administration when it came to doling out his brand of justice or equality in taxation during a time that he and his advisors knew the economy was in no doubt faltering.
Now the younger Bush, his predecessor may have been hoodwinked by inferior intelligence in leading up to the Iraq war and there will always be rumors that some knew and some didn't but that will be his cross to bear and only history will tell the eventual truth and the series of events that led up to his decision to go to war.
But President Obama knew during his campaign that the economy was in utter decline when he made his famous "no tax" statement.
The compelling point that I am trying to make here is that when circumstances are oblivious when making a statement to the American public and that can be proven in a court of law that statements to the public and their "trust" should be protected by the constitution, but when a statement is made under obvious circumstances that can be proven to be false then the "public trust" clause has been violated.

He made a "false" statement during the election to garner votes. Plain and simple. For God's sake all the media outlets have it on tape! "NO TAX INCREASE FOR THOSE MAKING LESS THAN 250,000 DOLLARS A YEAR!" Knowing full well all the circumstances involved (most notably the inevitable downturn of the economy) he made a contrary pledge to the American public that he knew he couldn't keep.
Those are his words. There is no question here as to his words?
There are federal laws against anyone and let me repeat this for those who may be a little slow here, ANYONE, who willingly makes a statement or acusation that they know themselves to be untrue or can be proven that they knew upon the preponderence of the evidence, that they knew to be untrue and bestowed upon the public trust as true, and can be proven as "false" and that would affect the outcome of a federal election, is indeed in direct conflict of the laws of our constitution and the laws of our land.
This restriction was put into law to STOP the practice of "politicians" making promises just in order to secure office and to protect the "public trust". It is up to us as the taxpayers to demand that this ordinance be adhered to, abided by and enforced by our courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States, especially when that office pertains to the highest office of the land.
Just as the courts of law and public opinion often hold those at the highest levels of power to full extent of the law if nothing other than to show how passionate we are about our trust so it must be with this in the same. If we allow our highest office to be tainted by corruption, false truths and other then how can we ever garnish credibility with those of lesser stature or people whom cherish our resolve and commitments.
The "public trust" is the most sacred of all trusts that a government can embody or emulate. It is the public trust that is the glue or bonding agent that can hold a country together through castastrophic events. This trust cannot be held by any one person, party or group but must be held collectively throughout the people themselves and only the self determination of that body will ensure that the trust can never be taken away by any magnate, tyrant, czar or magistrate irregardless of the power any one man shall wield it will be the power of many of who share a common goal of survival, endurance and independance and freedom yet guarentee the privacy and protection of the meek.
And this is from no article with links. Just a simple American that wants what he's been taught all his life from a government that is supposed to "serve" the people, not herd them.

"Green" inspections of homes if you want to sell your house. If it doesn't pass the inspection, you have to retrofit the house to sell it - what exactly is included in that?
How many carbon credits for certain industries were simply given away to friends of the current administration?
How many coal plants were grandfathered in because they are in states of Democratic members of the House - bought their votes?
What was in the manager's amendment which was dropped into the bill at 3AM Friday?

The ecologists of a previous generation (today called greens) killed our development of atomic-powered electric plants and hydroelectric dams. Had we developed nuclear fission (I remember that fusion power was predicted to be available at the turn of the century, i.e., 2000), electricity would be very cheap today and there would be no pollution and carbon dioxide as a by-product (although carbon dioxide levels are not responsible for changing temperature, contrary to political manipulator's claims).

BUT...the biggest problem is that it takes way too much water to run a nuclear faciity. water we won't have in the future.
just ask france. they went for the nuclear option and they're already low on water because of it.
