A governor who thinks he can sneak away to Argentina for five days is seriously mentally challenged. I'll bet he thought he could do it right up till he got off the plane and saw the reporter waiting there for him. She said he looked real surprised.

Where is all the republican outrage that Sanford lied about where he was, used taxpayer dollars for a couple of the tyrists (that he's admitted to.), etc?

Oh yeah wait. I forgot. Cheating and using taxpayer dollars to do so is okay only if you're a Republican.-

There are juicier tales about the wife of Repeat. John Conyers going to jail for taking bribes. There are additional highlights about John Edwards fiasco. But all the MSM concentrates on is this story. Why??? Oh, I forgot. They are liberals and this is about a Republican.

Well... Edwards having an affair while his wife has cancer is pretty effed up, nobody denies that.

The difference is that this guy called for Clinton's Impeachment and removal when he HIMSELF was already comitting adultry. It's about the hypocrisy. It's not that he's a Republican, it's that he villified everyone else who did it but he was doing it himself.
Oh, plus, if this was a democrat? You guys would have asked for his blood already, he'd have had to leave office. Don't you get it yet Tubeass? Double Standards are what we're raving against, not that he's a republican. -

The only positive to come from this situation IS Sanford's public expression of his feelings. Eventhough crying and expressing a broken heart and love have been reserved for women in our society, it is good to see a man, and a POWERFUL man, publicly display these "softer" feelings. Eventhough Sanford is, "dazed and confused" about sex and love at least he forcing all men to witness another man acting vunerable and soft. A consequences of "wanting something strange and then destroying your life by feeling like you are in love." If men supported other men to act "feminine" and express their deepest feelings other men would begin to understand themselves better. Sanford isn't the first man to step out to satisfy his sex urges and then end up destroying his life becasue he thinks he is in love. -

So what about female politicians? If a female politican cried, would that be considered acceptable, would you question her ability to handle a life and death situation?
You are correct about expectations for men. Traditionally, men are expected to provide for and protect their families. Men protect by "acting tough" not crying and expressing anger. Which explains why they are more violent than women. Inside every angry , violent man are feelings of love and saddness. If they were allowed to cry and express these feelings we would see alot less violence. And women express emotions too much. All their screaming, yelling, and whining is just an act to get people ( men) to respond to them. Why do men feel the need to respond to drama queens? Does it reinforce their need to be the protector?
