Karl Malden, the bulbous-nosed, thinning-haired actor perhaps best known for the TV series "The Streets of San Francisco," has died at the age of 97. No cause of death was immediately disclosed.

Just viewed a clip from his performance in "On the Waterfront", where, as a priest, he's talking over the dead body of a dock worker, telling the dock workers how "jesus is at the side" of the dead man.
