    I propped the story for the reason that it did go back to 1995 and by doing so proves that politicians from both sides tend to eat at the trough, and it does seem to be getting worse as time goes on. I at times think that really it doesn't matter who we elect, and I'm talking of up here but it is the same down there, it seems that there is a real disconnect between government and the ordinary people. Some of you try to put the blame on just liberals but we have a federal Conservative government that is running the country right now and they are following the same course as President Obama with trying to revive the economy.

      And it's high time the voters wake up and throw out the big spenders - regardless of the political party they belong to

        --But how did Bush get rewarded with RE-ELECTION in '04 if cons here are so concerned about excessive spending? This is a question which no con can answer. ;-P
