The world's largest oil company is continuing to fund lobby groups that question the reality of global warming, despite a public pledge to cut support for such climate change denial, a new analysis shows.

Never let reality stand in the way of making a buck.

Why am I not surprised? But 75,000 and 50.000 pounds is just chicken feed to Exxon.

This won't cost Exxon much. Just tell the mindless massses what they want to hear and they will follow.
We might as well forget global warning untill a few cities are underwater because until then there will be too many skeptics. Nobody listens to real scientists unless they say things like "red wine is good for you".

Exon Mobile and the charlatans funded by them are terrorists, treasonous scum.

Their greed exceeds the need to provide for their own children a clean environment. They are mass murdering cons, just like their poster child, Dick Cheney.

Exon just got the contract to deveolp Iraq Oil, paid for with the blood of 36,000 dead or injured americans. Mass murdering con chickenhawk war profiteers.

Since General Electric and the US government continues to fund the junk science of global warming/climate change what is wrong with Exxon funding real science?

More puking crying baby stuff, waaaaaaaaaaaa!

I trust Exxon more than our government and that's kind of sad.

It's on the order of "do you trust insurance executives or attorneys the most" ...

Why do we criticize a company for funding studies that defend it yet assume that universities and scientists that get billions in government (i.e., taxpayer) funds to study global warming won't be biased. If they admit that there is nothing unusual in the warming trend and that we are currently in a cooling trend (since 1998), the money stops and the scientists have to do something else for a living.

The rich oil companies keep pouring the money into junk science, because alot of poeple will believe it. I know alot of people are in denial about global warming, including my own family. Extremes in temperature are caused by global warming, including frigid winters, ironically, and it will get worse; It is immoral to do this to future generations. Hopefully, the Clean Air and Security Act will be passed by the Senate, although it will be a tough fight. It is a start. even though much more needs to be done.

Regardless of one's take on the carbon dioxide/global warming argument, I would think that most people would want to reduce our reliance on oil because of who it ultimately finances.

My Fellow Americans: Here we go again the Global Warming, Climate Change, Global Wetting, Global Disintegration, Global Destruction, Fanatics are running around trying to scare the Obama Believe Anything Followers. There hope is that if they scare enough of those Un-Educated wimps that they will spread the word around the World so that whatever they want passed in the Congress will just slide through.

Now the blame goes to Exxon, which companies are next. Dunkin Donuts, Sears, Taco Bell, Southwestern Airlines, maybe Johnson & Johnson will make the Climate Change Big Bad Guy List.

By the way we have a Global Taxing Crisis right here in the U.S. of A. so who or what are we to blame? Maybe it's the Sudden Death of Michael Jackson, or perhaps the reduction of Cigarette Smokers in the Country, could it be the Loss of the Super Bowl to the Pittsburgh Steelers? Oh it Can't be the President or Congress they would never cook up anything as phony as that scenario.

One more thing before I wish you well. What are we going to do about the Global Propaganda Problem in American? Impeach the President and Replace Every Single Pin Head in the Congress?
That does sound like the most Sane Proposal up to Date.
            The Real American
