Larger and longer-term trials are needed to address the effects of walnut consumption on cardiovascular risk and body weight.

I had read a report that said walnuts would clear blocked arteries. I had to have stents in my heart. At that time the Dr's said I would have to have more stents on the other side done within 3 weeks to 3 months max.No possiable way to avoid it the said.
I decided to eat walnuts (Recommended 3 a day) I ate probably ate 5 a day.
When I went back for the check up to have the other side done the Dr. said if I had any blockage it was not affecting my heart. Last Summer a heart specialist did a complete body scan and called her staff in to show them a 77 year old who has not one blockage in her whole body. She said I was the only person she had ever seen with out a blockage some place in their body. I think every one should know about walnuts.

I, too, love walnuts ... and almonds, pine nuts, brazil nuts...the list goes on. I was especially pleased to find out the nutritional benefits of nuts on www.TheBuzzOnLife.com
