Buyers Beware! Take heed the story I have to tell. »
Posted By FaithfulGamer 6 months, 1 week ago in NewsOnce upon a time there was a faithful gamer who believed that purchasing items in a F2P game was the right thing to do if he truly enjoyed the game. He was joyed that his contribution was filling the coffers of the Great Overlord OGP and contributing to improving the land where he frolicked and keeping it alive and free. Many a day he would spend swinging his clubs and striving to hit this one in record score. Or he would cruise through the markets in search of great treasures and even have a little fun with one of the other inhabitants of the world.
Then one day the faithful gamer awoke and his world was in darkness. All that he enjoyed was gone, all his special items gone, items only available during holiday specials like his Christmas Club Set and his Halloween Club Set. Everything was gone it was like a thief had swooped in while he was asleep and took everything he had worked for away.
Our story does not end there my friends for an amazing thing happened to our faithful gamer. One day he learned that someone had found his place and his things they had just moved them to a different land. This land was owned by Great Overlord Ntreev and he was in the process of moving that wonderful world and his things to his land and soon the faithful gamer would be able to once again roam the world. With renewed hope the faithful gamer awaited for the doors to open. He even signed the register at Overlord Ntreevs palace so he would be sure to know when he could come visit.
Time passed and the faithful gamer had heard nothing from the Overlord, so he decided to go have a look at the palace. When he arrived he learned that the doors to his world had opened. So he went to the administration office to get his things from the old world and was told they were gone. "Gone? But what do you mean?" They replied "Well sir it just so haopens that yesterday was the last day that your things were here. They no longer belong to you. Sorry." Well this of course infuriated the faithful gamer and he went with his fist in the air and let them know exactly how he felt. But he was not too out of control he disguised the 2 words he used like bullsh*% and fu%#. And you know what they did? They took the faithful gamers keys to the palace away and left him a note that said this: "For more information, please send an email to accountadmin@ntreevusa.com with 7767 in the subject line. We apologize for any inconvenience."
Now my story I made a bit humorous in the hopes that you would really read it. And I just really have to say this kind of conduct by a company is inexcusable! Let me give you an example of a similar situation. The Washington Mutual Bank was recently bought out by Chase. Now lets imagine that when the transfer was complete neither Chase nor WAMU informed you that it was done. So one day you decide to go to Chase and check on your account and the person at Chase tells you "oh sir I'm sorry the deadline was yesterday to register your account here so that account no longer exist and neither does the money that was in it!" Now do you think they would be able to get away with that? Of course not so what makes it ok for these online game companies to do it to their customers? They are stealing from people and I for one would recommend to you that you do not spend a single dime on these online games! What is to stop any of them from doing the same thing? Buyer beware you money is not safe here!
I encourage you to go to their website and let them know how you feel about these types of practices.
