There should be NO surprise here. The entire adventure/fallacy of our Iraq misadventure was the equivalent of raking $$$ into a pile and setting fire to it. Iraq was one of, if not THE, key blow to our economy. And that's not to mention the 4,000 plus deaths that our brave armed forces suffered through the mishandling of the initial stages of the war by Rumsfeld.
