Sit back and ponder what belief systems drive the fringes of wingnuttia? What about respectable wingnuts like some people at the WSJ? I mean, many of these people are not objectively stupid — life would be a lot easier if they were. So they know they’re not telling the truth. But they obviously believe that their dishonesty serves a higher truth — one that is, in effect, told only to Inner Party members, while the Outer Party makes do with prolefeed.

The question is, what is that higher truth? What do these people really believe in?

They believe Jesus, Superman, Horatio Alger and GI Joe are the same guy.

They believe that He is infinite love and will torture you forever if you screw up even a little.

They believe that God intervenes in human affairs, but he uses Adam Smith's invisible hand to do it.

They are crazy as sh!thouse rats.

Ah yes. Liberals are entirely sane. They believe you can get out of debt by buying groceries on credit.

They are also sure that Peacemongering never lead to war. I think that one will be given a test in the next year or two.

Of course anything different from what you believe is wingnut. Seems logical to me. In a pigs eye.

Endo has taken wingnutology to new heights (depths?), (s)he can deform a logical statement till it is unrecogmizable!

I know I've pointed out to Endo on many occasions that their thinking is skewed and that their facts as they have layed out are wrong and this happens all the time. When confronted with the facts Endo just goes to another thread and repeats the same old tired line...... Foolish libs and ad hominum attacks.

You know, I have suggested on a couple of occassions that we start drinking games apon every time Endo mentioned the phrase, Silley libs, or hominum attacks.

Endo's problem is chronic cephalorectal impaction. (S)he chose the nom de plume in order to dignify this as a diagnostic procedure (nothing to see up there, endo) rather than a simple medical manifestation of a spiritual flaw.
