Monsanto is growing monstrous stuff, trying to palm it off on the poorer countries first--charging them for the grain, the Monsanto fertilizers, the Monsanto weed killers--and most of the foods Monsanto is forcing on farmers produces "frankenfood"--genetically modified stuff that has lost the food value of the original stuff from heirloom seeds--seeds which have developed their on way of life over thousands of years. If Monsanto has their way, we will no longer be able to save seeds from our crops (as so many poor farmers must do) will no longer be able to even grow from heirloom seeds. Monsanto has come up with the most depraved action of all--if a Monsanto GM plant is found in a farmer's field along with his crops, he is accused of stealing it--when it most likely got there by a seed on the wind or from a bird eating the seed and then dumping it in the farmer's field. Monsanto then takes the farmer to court, causes him to lose his crop, sometimes his land and his livelihood. How depraved can they get? Europe is resisting these frankenfoods--and we Americans should too. Monsanto needs to be brought down.
