I wish Hunter S. Thompson had lived to see this.
As Hunter said, "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." Sarah Palin makes Mark Foley, the congressman who sent filthy emails to pages look almost normal. She makes David Vitter, the senator who was hanging out with hookers, look almost boring. She makes Larry Craig, caught hitting on a cop in a men's room, look almost stable. She makes John Ensign, the senator who was having an affair with a staffer, look almost humdrum (and compared to the rest of the GOP whack-jobs, he is). And she makes Mark Sanford, the governor with the Latin lover, look positively predictable.
It was an almost impossible mission, but in resigning from office with 17 months to go in her first term, Sarah Palin has made herself the bull goose loony of the GOP.

What a bombshell, I can't see any possible way Palin can spin this into a positive. Reading her transcript again, she actually implies that staying at her elected job would be the same as being a quitter? Uh, no, quitting is like being quitter.

Um, no, she's not a quitter at all. She, like any other office holder can run for re-election. She chose not to run for re-election which would in effect make her a lame-duck. Good move on her part. And she gets to do things financially that she couldn't do as governor, another good move. Run for president ?? I seriously doubt that as well as NOT a good move. She's been beaten up too much by the drive by media which will continue until election day.

The liberal political machine was making her administration spend millions of Alaskan's money fending off lots of accusations that take up time and effort to defend. Just like they did for Newt Gingrich. They failed with her and Newt to make any real attacks against them stick. What happened with Newt was the mountain of paperwork, (about 4 feet high) had A mistake in it. Lets see you write about your personal live in that much detail and never make a mistake.
If libs can't come up with better policy they go into attack everything mode. Such hatred is beyond reason.

Television career perhaps, should she escape indictment. Fox News seems tailor made for her, where facts don't usually come into play.

Faux news, where facts are rare but bimbos are as common as alligators in florida. Just watched some Faux news today and there were loads of bimbos. She has a rack that will serve as her resume.

Sarah Palin is the demi god of the addled gun-totin bible-thumpin loonie right wing nutbags. Sarah Palin IS the Republican Party. She represents everything this country does NOT need as we proved in the last election. The Republican party has imploded and this is just the final proof that they are unreliable, untruthful, self-serving cretins! Ronald Reagan Newt Gingrich, Bill Crystal, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, and Beck built this rediculous cadre of horrible examples of what our government should be. Led by 8 years by the most evil man on the planet, Dick Cheney, with a howdy doody dolt as President should be enough to teach any reasonable, thinking, reasoning individual to purge this country of their party.

Now she posts in facebook today about politics that practice personal destruction. Hmmm, odd, that is THE talking points of the Republican party. The only way they think they can beat anyone is by destroying them personally (Swiftboating, etc.) because that's all the Republicans have left. They don't have any candidates worthy of election so they go on the attack. Maybe Ms. Palin should look in the mirror. She certainly did more than her share of the politics of personal destruction during the campaign. Guess she can dish it out but can't take it? If you're that thin skinned, you shouldn't be in politics. Maybe she realized that. Good riddance!

Look how 'in demand' that Miss America runner up lady became after she asserted her belief that marriage should be between a man and a woman only.
Sarah Palin is much better at hitting the correct 'talking points' ... on these issues because she actually comes from that up-bringing ... she's smart and perhaps MOST importantly ... (at least for TV) ... she looks good (although I personally prefer Tina Fey).

What these Americans are afraid of ... is Sarah's ability to create an American Taliban.
It IS something to be concerned about.
Plus ... these Americans are afraid that she might lead the secessionist movement that her husband is a part of.
Palin could actually become like Jefferson Davis of Alaska.
Of course, I'm sure Wolfie2007 would high-tail it to the Northwest as soon as this happened ... given that this particular member of Propeller, like so many of like mind ... have no love for Democracy ... or The United States of America.
