What a bombshell, I can't see any possible way Palin can spin this into a positive. Reading her transcript again, she actually implies that staying at her elected job would be the same as being a quitter? Uh, no, quitting is like being quitter.

Um, no, she's not a quitter at all. She, like any other office holder can run for re-election. She chose not to run for re-election which would in effect make her a lame-duck. Good move on her part. And she gets to do things financially that she couldn't do as governor, another good move. Run for president ?? I seriously doubt that as well as NOT a good move. She's been beaten up too much by the drive by media which will continue until election day.

Obama didn't finish because he got a promotion. Sarah ain't crap. She is just one more unemployment number but unlike Sarah most of the people on the unemployment line did not decide to go there and they are trying to get off but things are tough right now. I am employed but barely with a business degree and delivering pizza and my bosses are barely keeping the business open. Hell I'll govern Alaska gimmie a job aplication. I didn't get fired from my last jobs. I signed on with a brand new business and unfortunately we didn't have enough cash to handle that people just can't afford as many sub sandwiches and pizza but I did good honest work for the minimum and a bit. I do my best job always because I never want a boss to ask me if thats the best I can do and have to answer no.

That's rich. She QUIT her job 18 months BEFORE it was over. If that's not the very definition of a quitter, what else would it be? There have been a LARGE number of lame-duck presidents, governors, federal, state & local elected officials. How many have quit before the end of their lame-duck term?

The liberal political machine was making her administration spend millions of Alaskan's money fending off lots of accusations that take up time and effort to defend. Just like they did for Newt Gingrich. They failed with her and Newt to make any real attacks against them stick. What happened with Newt was the mountain of paperwork, (about 4 feet high) had A mistake in it. Lets see you write about your personal live in that much detail and never make a mistake.
If libs can't come up with better policy they go into attack everything mode. Such hatred is beyond reason.

Goodness Endo, usually it's a couple of posts before you resort to insults. Yes, I agree, Palin made it obvious why she quit, as I said, she is a quitter. If she can't stand up to the 'liberal machine' all the way in Alaska, she certainly had no chance in the big leagues.

Nice try. The thing none of you people realize in this. For the most part people in this country could give a flying crap what Palin does or does not do. We have many more worries than what one squirrel from Alaska might do. Paint your 'Liberals" anyway you wish but you want but you know no more about why Palin quit than I do. You know what she said and so do I.

I know that I find it very odd that the time line of this runs Ensign, Sanford and then bang Palin. There may be nothing more than her stated reasons but having observed her over a period of time I just find the resignation strange.
The comment about attack everything mode is rather funny as well, considering the fact that the GOP has spent so much energy on that very strategy. I believe Karl Rove was the master of it during the Bush administration. If you're going to say something at least try not to turn about and bite your own arse in the process.
