Progress? How about finding a treatment or cure, then you would have some "progress"......

I want to say one thing about the current state of affairs as we are living in them at this time. They should have had a way of seeing how obvious it was that Reagan had Alzheimers right around the time that he was taking the oath of office in 1984, if they had we would have had a much easier time in the 90s because we wouldn't have worried so much about beating the entire communist empire. We would have known that the Vice President, who was the head of the CIA at the time, had been giving the Muslim Afghanistanis stinger missles to beat the Soviets. Not only that, if Reagan had not been President due to the fact that he had advanced Alhzeimer's by 1987, we would have introduced one half of the Muslim world to the other half who would later hijack three planes after learning to fly them on our dime, and kill 3,000 people at one time and 256 with another plane. They would have killed a lot more if Osama Bin Ladin didn't have the ego of an elephant. He couldn't wait to let us know that it was Al Quaeda, his super army, that accomplished these heartless, heinous acts. Unfortunately, George W. Bush can't use Alzheimers as a reason for increasing our deficit more than it was under Reagan at the height of his illness. If only Mommy (also known as Nancy) was so sucessful at protecting him from himself. MAuguste
