Gastrotrichs (<i>Gastrotricha</i>) are microscopic fresh water and marine worms with a life span of only three days. They feature a cilia-covered body with a double-gland system where one cement gland secretes the glue for adhesion and another secretes a de-adhesive to sever the connection.
