Per the article, Weaver said her best chances in 2012 was to get re-elected in 2010 as Gov of Alaska.. I don't think she stood a prayer of being re-elected in 2010, and that fact had everything to do with her bowing out now. However, now she may as well kiss a political career good by, now she's labeled as a quitter in the face of adversity.

Adversity like Liberals calling her a skank and white trash and then beating up on her family.

As a woman you should be ashamed of how she was treated by your Liberal friends. What? She didn't follow you party lines? So I guess it's ok to trash her and make fun of her family? Where is your moral integrity and sticking up for womens rights? Oh ya once again, she doesn't have those rights because she is a Republican.
Needy you are scum. You and you Liberal friends. It takes a lot of guts to be THROWN into a Vice Presidential nomination at the last second only to have the same people who say they want to help women, Liberals, smash and bash her in every way.
The people who supported the bashing of Palin should look in the mirror and see what they really are. They are the real A-holes. They are the anti-womens rights people. They are the true hypocrites of our time.
Palin, it's good you left. Enjoy your life and leave the scum to bash some other women or black person because they call themselves a Republican.-

The GOP will have to find another "gimmick" to attract voters. That's all that Palin is,was,or ever will be. The woman is short on intelligence and substance. She would do herself and her family a favor if she fades away and concentrates on raising her kids.

Why is it that whenever someone criticyzes Palin her supporters come back with nasty name calling? Can you not disagree without the ranting ? She was chosen two months before the election and she was quite obviously not prepared. Her interviews showed her lack of knowledge in too many areas to mention. People were attracted to her at first because she is a very pretty woman. But that's it...she has nothing to offer. Her speeches and interviews showed that she was not smart enough to be holding the office of the Vice President. She had to be chosen for her looks because she has nothing else going for her. She blames the whole world for the bad press coverage that she brought on by herself. If she had given intelligent informed answers there wouldn't have been all of the jokes about how dumb she is. She never did one interview where she didn't try to change the subject or start her rambling. You can knock Obama all you want and on some points I would probably have to agree with you. At this point I am disappointed in him but that doesn't make Palin any smarter I am sure that she cost McCain some votes.

Name one thing about Palin that would suggest that she could deal with the responsibilities of running the nation if she ever was given the chance. Intelligence...nope, her interviews proved that. Experience ? Not by a long shot. She doesn't even have diplomacy..her speeches showed that. She doesn't even have common sense...remember the turkey pardon ?
What do you have left ? A pretty face, a gimmick to attract voters. -

Just because Sarah Palin will soon no longer be governor doesn’t mean she won’t stop being a bully: “Gov. Sarah Palin’s attorney threatened Saturday to sue mainstream news organizations if they publish ‘defamatory’ stories relating to whether Palin is under federal investigation,” according to Politico. In a four-page letter, Alaska-based attorney Thomas Van Flein wrote, “This is to provide notice to Ms. Moore, and those who re-publish the defamation, such as Huffington Post, MSNBC, the New York Times and The Washington Post, that the Palins will not allow them to propagate defamatory material without answering to this in a court of law.” Meanwhile, Palin hinted in a Facebook message on Saturday that she might run for president in 2012 by following her “higher calling.” She wrote, "I am now looking ahead and how we can advance this country together with our values of less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security, and much-needed fiscal restraint.”

Sarah Palin made no public appearances yesterday but lashed back at the media on her Facebook page for the negative coverage of her resignation, reports Politico. “How sad that Washington and the media will never understand; it’s about country,” she wrote. “And though it's honorable for countless others to leave their positions for a higher calling and without finishing a term, of course we know by now, for some reason a different standard applies for the decisions I make.”

Though she's offered no specifics on her plans, Palin hinted that she will remain in the public eye. “I am now looking ahead and how we can advance this country together with our values of less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security, and much-needed fiscal restraint," she wrote. "I hope you will join me."
