I wonder if this is not another example of poor farming practices by those who are trying to stay in business, and not rotating crops but continually growing the same crop on the same land year after year. There are always a certan omount of spores or fungus in the land but if a crop is repeatedly grown they can become a real problem, another factor can sometimes be the weather which if it is hot and moist for an extended period of time these problems do become worse.
I don't know if I want to see a shortage of food on the shelves or not, it might help those of us in the ag business but at the cost of those who have limited money for food.
