Did you sleep - and I mean really "sleep" - through the sixties and seventies??
When did the Ortho-novum dial-a-pack begin to be prescribed?
Guaranteed - in most cases it was NOT to regulate periods!
We Baby Boomers were busy little bees in our time - which was WAY
    before the 1990's.

I am a vintage Baby Boomer. The 60's covered my time in high school and college (an all-male school, I might add). So I saw many changes; have seen many since--not many of which I think are for the better. I believe that there's a price for everything--even stuff that is "good" or "fun". Don't really think that people appreciate the concept or even think about it.

I see you caught up with my "tongue-in-cheek" confession above. Guess I don't do that very well.
