From some of the side comments on 365gay.com, it sounded like a few scare tactics were involved. Bringing up issues such as the number of felons and skinheads who are in the military serves only to spread the irrational fear that gays in the military cannot handle themselves appropriately and follow the strict military code.

I don't think we need a platoon of drag queens in Afghanistan; however, we do have 13,000 gay soldiers and sailors who served with honor since 1993 who could have made a substantial difference in the world if only they had been allowed to remain on the job.-

Some of them officers, some working in intelligence and quite a few speak arabic. All want to serve. They want to serve because they've been trained to and want to take the place of the their fellow servicemen/women who have served two or more terms and want out.

We, like it or not (I always supported the war in Afghanistan not Iraq.), are at war with an enemy that speaks Arabic. Wouldn't it make sense to keep those who are expert in translation in intelligence?
I don't know it seems like most of the scandals in the military are committed by heterosexual males who are acting like they're at a frat party. Tailhook comes to mind. Then there's the Air Force Academy (just down the road from Focus on the Family.) and their scandal. Also all the female service personnel who are being raped overseas.

Why isn't this being addressed by the 'commander in chief?' THIS is a problem. Not the imaginary BS of 'gays' being in the military. Who would I rather have patrolling my streets should 'god forbid' that ever come about; a bunch of nazi hate freaks, or people who have shown no propensity to conduct themselves in any manner than to just do their jobs? A no brainer. -

As long as you put them all in the same platoon I don't care if they serve.

A "gay brigade" or the "love boat".
You can hand them out condoms along with their bullets.
I just don't want one hitting on me when I am armed and fighting.
He would turn up a victim of friendly fire.
Have you ever wondered why so many sailors are found going overboard in the middle of the ocean?-

What makes straight people so smug to think that a gay man wants him? Honestly, why do straight guys have the idiotic notion that they are remotely attractive to us? How does hitting on a straight guy differ from the rejection they get when a girl turns them down?
