With exactly five months to win Senate approval, the effort by the Obama White House in floating this idea now makes it sound like Obama wants to give away the store in order to score some points with his 1980s no-nukes agenda. And as much as the Democrats howled over the supposed devotion of George Bush to a “unitary executive,” Obama seems to have no trouble bypassing the check on executive power for treaty negotiation -

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur;
perhaps he should not be addressed as Mr. President but as Your Majesty instead......... -

If a President believes a bill to be unconstitional, John McCain argued, he has a duty to veto it. Obama apparently agreed … in 2008. Now it's a different story. Obama has become power mad after a mere 5 months on the job. -

The take-over of the banks, the auto makers and stiffing the bond holders, trying to remove congressional oversight of the IG's, now this......way, way too much power-grabbing going on. People wake up, this country is going to hell in a handbasket fast.
