Thanks to Chicago Sun-Times columnist and film critic Richard Roeper, a very ugly practice has come to light. T-shirt companies trying to make a buck off of the cross town rivalry between the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Cubs baseball teams have resorted to homophobia and racism to stimulate sales.

What self-respecting baseball fan likes either of these two loser Chicago teams? I kid, folks. Seriously, the t-shirts are in extremely bad taste. Why would someone wear their homophobia, racism, or bigotry against the disabled on their chest like a badge of honor? Apart from the knuckleheads in the KKK, these t-shirts put the "garb" in garbage.

I guess I don't understand the word Homophobia. To me it means you have a fear of Gay people and I don't think that's the case at all. Most people I talk to think it's just plain disgusting and wrong. WHere is the Phobia in that?

Ahh, I see DaneL has stuck his nose in on this thread as well. Looking for a little (or big) action there DaneL? I think DaneL is tired of nuzzling cow udders and wants to experiment with male genitalia. Be careful DaneL, they squirt when excited, but you already knew that didn't you?

Wrigley Field is adjacent to Boys Town in Chicago. Whenever games let out, thousands of Cubs fans end up marching right through the heart of the main gay neighborhood in the city. (I admit, I often draw no minor amount of amusement from watching unsuspecting suburban families wandering down the streets as a look of slow realization creeps over their faces. There are some sex shops, countless bars, leather gear places, etc. along Halsted).
But that's why you often see jerkish Sox fans mercilessly employing homophobia against their rivals. The Cubs practically play in Boys Town.
