I wonder. Are they simultaneously arguing for a set of social programs that will help pay for the children after birth to ensure that they don't starve the first few years of their lives, or to ensure that they're able to be well cared for after birth? Are they simultaneously pushing for social programs that will help these mothers with childcare so they can work?

Or is it more of the usual 'protect the fetus until it's born and then let the world eat them' from the morally vacant GOP?-

The Modern Republican derives an unseemly glee from the suffering of children.
That's why the Republicans voted to prevent children from access to CHIP ... Affordable Health Care for kids.
See, this is how you recognize a Morally Vacant Ideology.
It's one in which the adherents care more about the POTENTIAL life of a child ... than an ACTUAL child.
Once a baby is born ... Modern Republicans say ... pffft ... "See how you like living in the USA as we ensure the rights of Insurance Companies, Drug Companies, and Corporations to trample you down and use you for fodder."
Oh ... there's also that whole thing where the Modern Right has this genetic ... OCD thing ... of trying to LEGISLATE their Religious Beliefs.
Some call them ... our very own ... American Taliban.

But you do want your tax dollars down the line to have to pay for the police to protect us from said children who didn't have the opportunity to grow up in middle America, safe on the streets, safe in mommy's basement until they're 24, not going hungry as so many children in America do on a daily basis? Hmm. $1000 now or a few million down the road for police, prosecution, jail time, et cetera.

I can hardly believe what I hear, and read these days. All of a sudden if some one can't find a good excuse to terminate a pregnancy under medical reasons, they fall back on the economical reason, there won't be a provision in the republican platform to raise, and care for them. What about the sperm donor, and the sperm recipient? What is their responsibility?just looking for a good time.

The 'sperm donor' is absolutely responsible and I think that there should be an establishment of paternity under the law and the father should be required to then have his wages garnished for 50% until the child turns 18. If the father decides not to work, then he shouldn't be able to collect any social benefits of any sort. 50% of anything going into his bank accounts, or of any real property should go directly to the child.

However if Repuglicans are going to remove funding then they'd be morally vacant hypocrites if they didn't also agree that their responsibility to saving children extends beyond birth. Wouldn't they? -
