Here is what the Russians are saying about Mr. Obama...
Reply
“We don’t really understand why Obama is such a star,” said Kirill Zagorodnov, 25, one of the graduates. “It’s a question of trust, how he behaves, how he positions himself, that typical charisma, which in Russia is often parodied. Russians really are not accustomed to it. It is like he is trying to manipulate the public.”
They have him totally figured out!-

Personally, I think everyone should grow as much of their own food as they can - organic or otherwise.

That said, I don't think this is hard hitting news (as the comments on the story note), but id rather see stories about her garden than her wardrobe. -

I think what it shows is that they are interested in her and Obama as people..normal people.

My family and I have a very large garden and plan on leasing some land next year to go even bigger. We have cut our grocery bill and have managed to make a couple of extra dollars in the process between that and blackberry's and mushrooms...Nothing taste better than wild or home grown foods.
Most community's have farmers markets where you can buy locally grown produce..check them out it is worth it.-

We have our own garden also and not only do we save money on our groceries, nothing tastes as good as some thing fresh from the garden.

We just found out that we can grow "potatoes" in our new nest area so we'll be putting those in this fall.

I have lived in several very different ethnic neighborhoods, and I can tell you the best way to connect with people and bridge a major gap is to get them talking about how they cook and what they like to eat. It's also a great way to pick up culinary skills.

Great article EE. I'm not surprised that Michelle knows how to garden and about gardening (including latest trends, technologies, etc.). I think this is a good reminder to show how much alike we, the people, of both countries really are.
