Mercy. The press gets a news story like Anna Nicole Smith or Michael Jackson, and they just go on and on and on till most of us are so sick and tired of it, we feel like yelling at them "Shut up already!!!" I've been muting my TV set for a week every time something about Michael Jackson comes on. I was away during the memorial service having lunch with some live people, and I stayed away until I was sure it was mostly over except for the recaps on the news (which I then muted.) Even Lou Dobbs and Nancy Grace had nothing but Michael Jackson (which I did not watch, Lou and Nancy!)
