Joe "THE" Biden ‘We Misread the Econony’ – And it’s all the Republicans’Fault »
Posted By pc25 4 months ago in Political NewsSome distant day, many scientists believe, the earth will be devoid of human life due to some cosmic catastrophe or – ultimately – due to our depleted sun transforming into a red giant. The truly good news about such an otherwise bleak future is that the Obama administration will presumably no longer be able to blame Republicans for the economy that they “inherited.”

The ONLY thing that Democrats actually “inherited” was moron genes, a talent for demagoguery and deceit, and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid (please see “moron genes”).
Let’s not tell anyone that liberal Paul Krugman’s warning that we need a second stimulus is secret code for, “The first stimulus didn’t work worth squat, so let’s throw more money down the toilet.” And let’s for DAMN sure not tell anyone that unemployment benefits are going to be ending for workers starting in September and things will truly begin to increasingly suck after that as the unemployment rate grows like a “green shoot”..........Business professionals back in October predicted that Obama would literally bankrupt the country within three years if he was elected. Republicans (such as Paul Ryan) widely predicted the terribly flawed and terribly partisan pork-laden stimulus would fail – which is why only three out of 239 Republicans voted for it-

That is so non-sensical as to not even be worthy of a detailed response (i.e. you totally misrepresent Krugmans remarks). The rest is pure partisanship. You are so biased in your thinking it is amazing you can drive down a straight road without veering right. You accept no responsibility for the Republican share of this mess. None. Until you are willing to accept that your party was a major player in this economic collapse. Clearly you are living outside the realm of reality.

This kind of crap and the garbage spewed over the last week in my home state defending Mark Sanford's actions have left me completely repulsed with the Right. You will justify any words, any action of a Republican. You are acting like spoiled little children who want their sandbox back so they can p--ss in it again. Hopefully you are forever banned.
We have nothing in common, nothing other than the fact we live between the same borders. To me your behavior is nothing more than an insult to America. I would have never thought we could have become further divided than the Bush years but that day is here. -

It is an awesome thing this absolute stinking and sinking cesspool of idiots genes amassed in the democrat party especially in Washington. They should all have to take a drug and literacy test immediately.

Did you catch the Chuck Todd interview with Obama on July 07, 2009
TODD: I want to move to economy, it's going to come up at the G-8 a little bit. I want to read some various phrases that you've used in your administration. Early on, when you took office, you said the economy was going to get worse before it gets better. Then Larry Summers said we hit bottom to a point. Then we started hearing the phrase green shoots. You predicted, though, higher unemployment. Vice President Biden over the weekend said the team misread the economy. And then yesterday, Prime Minister Brown was saying that the recession might get worse. So let's erase those words. What's the state of the economy? Is it getting better? Is it getting worse? Are there green shoots?
OBAMA: Here is my assessment and I think this assessment has been fairly consistent. We haven't always gotten the numbers right but I think the general overview is right. We went through an economic tsunami that was far worse than anything we've gone through since the Great Depression. And even early on I think we did not see the full magnitude of what was going to happen.

So basically Obama said the same thing Biden did - the administration misread the economy. So much for all of the touted "experts" who are Obama's economic advisers-

and you think the repubs gave Obama the correct data before departing? Fat chance. The repubs/bush/cheney and their crew didn't have a clue what was going on as evidence of the economy tanking on THEIR WATCH...NOT Obama's.

You repugs can't wriggle your way out of this one. fact is fact no matter how much you lie about it and malign the man who is trying to straighten it out! -

Job Creators Prefer John McCain 4-to-1 Over Barack Obama
Over 70 percent of CEOs fear an Obama presidency will be a disaster
Chief Executive magazine's most recent polling of 751 CEOs shows that GOP presidential candidate John McCain is the preferred choice for CEOs. According to the poll, which is featured on the cover of Chief Executive's most recent issue, by a four-to-one margin, CEOs support Senator John McCain over Senator Barack Obama. Moreover, 74 percent of the executives say they fear that an Obama presidency would be disastrous for the country.
"The stakes for this presidential election are higher than they've ever been in recent memory," said Edward M. Kopko, CEO and Publisher of Chief Executive magazine. "We've been experiencing consecutive job losses for nine months now. There's no doubt that reviving the job market will be a top priority for the incoming president. And job creating CEOs repeatedly tell us that McCain's policies are far more conducive to a more positive employment environment than Obama's."-

Job creators? Is that one of the republican "code words" for someone who lays off a bunch of people, sinks the company stock and thinks they deserve a several million dollar bonus for being a complete F up? So these F ing thieving bastards support McCain 4 to 1. Go figure. -

PC, great article, very informative. Loved the NYT quotes regarding Bush attempting to introduce legislation to control FM/FM and the dumb Barney Frank quote.
It's too bad this will receive the yellow "controversial line", but we know why......too honest, backed up with documented facts and the libs can't handle the truth. We also know the article won't be addressed, so be prepared for the name-calling and filthy talk.-

That reminds me of the Polish joke I heard. No offense to anyone Polish but this was the way I heard the joke. A guy walks into a bar and says he has the funniest Polish joke in the world. The bartender says I would watch what you are saying around here because I am Polish, those 2 bouncers are Polish, and so is half the bar. So the guy says "OK I will speak very slowly" I missed remembering a bit of transition in telling that joke but I am here to cummunicate an idea. Just because you put it in caps ace isn't going to improve his reading comprehension skills. PC is like a late term abortion. Eventually you have to know it just isn't going to function no matter what you do so do you keep trying or do you close the book?

Obama said over and over last fall that we were in the worst recession since the Great Depression
Obama and members of his economic team began working with Congress on a stimulus bill in the fall - well before he even took office
Remember his first news conference after he took office?
Barack Obama: economic stimulus bill will prevent American 'catastrophe'
President Barack Obama has used his first White House press conference to tell Americans that passing his massive economic stimulus bill would mean the difference between "catastrophe" and saving or creating "up to four million jobs"
In a bleak assessment of the American economy, Mr Obama said that only the federal government could rescue the world's biggest economy from this "winter of our hardship. and prevent a "negative spiral" into depression.
Mr Obama took his case for an $800 billion-plus stimulus package directly to ordinary Americans by holding a campaign-style event in unemployment-hit Elkhart, Indiana before returning to Washington to make his final pitch to Congress.
"This is not your ordinary, run-of-the-mill recession. We are going through the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression." He added that "doing a little or nothing at all will result in even greater deficits, even greater job loss, even greater loss of income, and even greater loss of confidence" Greater deficits "could turn a crisis into a catastrophe".
