why, in the age where everything is recorded and researched, do politicians continue to spout untruths when they know they will be caught? i guess they believe that no one pays attention, or that we're to stupid to determine the truth for ourselves...

  Hyperbole comes with the territory of being a politician. They also know that many voters do have a problem determining the truth--in fact, they count on it.

    Well Obama is in that category as well. In Russia he told a university class that he met his wife in school when he met her while working in a law firm. Stupid lie for absolutely no reason. Who out there does not remember where they met their spouse.
