Under a cloud of secrecy, Karl Rove was deposed by John Conyer's House Judiciary committee, a few weeks after Harriet Meiers under the radar June 15th deposition.

Given the record of the Obama administration so far and the "secrecy" of these hearings, I am sceptical that this is anything more than a cover-up attempt.

Regardless of party affiliation, as Americans we have too many reasons not to trust our government in carrying out their duties in preserving and protecting our constitution. Investigating allegations of corruption behind closed doors makes as much sense as hiring the fox to guard the hen house. The definition of insanity applies; repeating the same course of action and expecting different results.

frankly i think the case at hand is one of the least of the crimes rove has either masterminded or participated in; the worst being the corruption of our electoral processes.

The truth is that we really won't have any idea on how President Obama's administration will be judged for another two years. He could be running a 20% approval rating by this fall, but if the economy rebounds by 2011, he could end up back at 80% by the 2012 election. So you're just going to have to wait. Whistling past the graveyard isn't going to do you any good.
As the old saying goes, "The proof will be in the pudding, and it better be at least 80 proof."
