    Well, maybe it is a good example of how "industrialization" of agriculture and the food industry leads Americans to think they have good food from all over the world.

    No mozzarella I have ever eaten in the US compares with real Italian buffalo milk mozzarella!

    And what a shame that big American "pizza companies" ever got involved in the degradation of the pizza.

      European cheeses are much more flavorful because they are made with raw, unpasteurized milk. That's illegal here in the USA, where the USDA has made it virtually impossible to legally operate a dairy on a less than industrial scale.

      Strangely, you don't see people dropping dead by the scores in Europe despite their consuming cheese made from raw milk. We are being "protected" from healthier, tastier food, our gummint in action.

      I buy locally made, totally delicious artisanal goat cheese. That makes me, and the farmer who produces it, both criminals. They are not a USDA inspected dairy, and given current regulations, they never will be.
