I experienced meeting Iran Sailors in 1972...being trained by the United States. They are people just like us...religious as "all things" do follow physics religiously.
There has been a seperation of people in the United states since the 60's and due to the same things... The government is not what the government should be....it controls us when we should be the ones telling government what to do...and within written laws...remembering what was made standard in 1791 (December 15th).
Over and over government has made excuses...and elected people like George Bush. Bush was elected by ballots with no trace of who voted. The voting machines today... HAVE NO PAPER BACKUP.
George Bush started a war...thinking it would help the economy...see 911 has nothing to do with Iraq or any other place...it has to do with physics...if you are an enemy to someone...and will not negotiate...then things like 911 happen.
Iran is as aware as we are about the NSA and what the NSC says it is. CNN made a remark about four years ago...that our days as a Nation are running out. That someone will blow this country up.
Why...for the same reason our for-fathers went to war with England.

I study history--not the pap that CNN and FOX put out, but books that the average bookstore doesn't carry. Journey to Jerusalem by Grace Halsell, Jewish Supremacy by David Duke, Final Judgment by Michael Collins Piper, etc. Americans are brainwashed by a closed media that wants us to think in a certain way, act in a certain way. Every time they want us in a war, they manage a disaster like 9/11 and Pearl Harbor--and appeal to the patriotism in Americans--and thousands of Americans die fighting--not for freedom and country but for the ones who own this country and its corporations, including the Media. Nobody I talk to knows that in 1953 the USA overthrew the government of Iran and put the Shah in place so we could get CHEAP OIL. And when the Iranians overthrew the Shah, we acted like it was the end of the world--it was just the end of our getting cheap oil, that's all. We're demonizing them again and trying to overthrow their government again. News flash: the world is waking up; the old ways don't work as well--case in point: Iraq--an illegal, undeclared war, costing trillions of US dollars and over 4,000 American lives--once again--for OIL and because Israel perceives Iraq/Iran as threats. If Israel weren't armed to the teeth with nukes, the Middle East wouldn't be such a threat. Israel will never know peace till they learn to live with the Palestinians--and their neighbors. And oil is a curse, not a blessing. It has made us dependent, dishonest, and dysfunctional.

The most glaring thing about Iran and our media is that they were all about "helping the protesters"and making sure that we saw the savagery against the protesters. Our media was there covering people getting shot and we weren't gonna take it anymore.

    And then Michael Jackson died.

And for two f'ing weeks we had to hear about a pervert, rapist and how good of a person he was. Immediately the news about Iran stopped and those people were left to be beaten and killed because we care more about pervert rapists in this country than democracy in another country.

I will never understand it. Obama did nothing to help those people and stood by like a lame duck college professor that he is. I'm sure Michael Jackson music sounds pretty good on the White House speakers though.

Americans mistakingly believe that when they elect someone, that person will go to Washington, D. C. and work for them and their interests. Nothing could be further from the truth. Take a Civics class; learn the workings of Congress. You will find that the perks, the bribes, the pressures from "special interest groups"--even groups that represent foreign countries who are into furthering THEIR AGENDAS--NOT THE USA'S AGENDAS--are so seductive that nearly every person in Congress, plus the President and even the Supreme Court--forget about the common person and work for their own welfare. This is why a president like Clinton can go into office nearly poor and come out a millionaire. (I use one name, but it applies to nearly all of them). People need to wake up and realize that the American people are really being jerked around by government. It's one thing to be s*****d, but one does like to know when it's happening and to enjoy it. Otherwise, it's plain rape.

Dominoes is an apparent salute to the left wing violence of the 60's. The era that puked up such rabble as Students for a Democratic Society, the Weathermen, Bill Ayers, Bernadette Dorn, the Chicago Riots at the 1968 Democrat Convention, John Kerry lying to Congress about what was happening in Vietnam, people spiting on our brave servicemen, the assassinations, sit-ins and the take over of college building by destructive left wing led trash who interrupted my and others right to an education and the cowardly actions by a Democrat Congress who pulled out on an ally, South Vietnam, and left the people there to be taken over, massacred and mistreated by communists from North Vietnam. No forget it I don't want to revisit some of the worst times for my country in my life.

I guess all you left wing nuts will flock to theaters to relive your childhood glory days. You make me puke.

VietNam was something that many of us would like to forget. Being of that age (graduated from HS in 1965 and undergrad college in 1969), I've had occasion to meet and talk with many who served there. Most have very mixed reactions. But the thing that's common to almost all of them is that they simply did not know why we were there. They knew why THEY were there--by and large being drafted or volunteering so that they could avoid it-- but the larger purpose was a mystery to them.

The reflexive answer was "fighting communism". But communism was defined somewhat in tune with the old Louisina colored laws--one part Communist out of sixteen made it all Communist. Still we needed a bogeyman, and that served well. From this time and distance, the war was part nationalistic; part Communist; and part class warfare between the North and South.

One angle I've never seen much thought on was that VietNam followed not too long after a resonably successful intervention in Korea. Certainly looking at where North and South Korea are today, it's hard to argue that it would be better if they weren't. I don't think that's the case with VietNam; even with the travails, some of their own doing, they had to endure to get to the present. One wonders what factors made us (the US) successful in Korea; and likewise led to to what seemed ineveitable failure in VietNam.

I am so sick of the 'it's all about oil' mentality.Where is the Oil? Did we get any Oil yet? Don't you think if it really was about Oil,we would have gotten some at least by now? Get your brain out of the propaganda
